BLESS YOU for this video. I purchased this machine online and it did not come with the workbook. The instruction manual is TRASH if you are new to using one of these machines. I was VERY intimidated when I unboxed this machine and I just stared at it for about a week. Spent that time watching videos and reading the manual. Finally it was time. I did my best to follow the instructions in the book and after a shameful amount of hours had no luck. That machine whooped me and I was ready to put it in front of my truck tire and roll over it (then reverse and roll over it again). I slept on it, looked at several more useless YT videos, then found yours. I threaded my machine along with you step-by-step (thanks to play/pause), saw my error from the previous evening. Now I am off to the races!!! I was not gonna let this machine beat me!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! 😃👏🙌
Thank you, thank you for this threading video. I’ve had my machine at least three years and I probably have about 2.5 hours (I’m being generous here!) of serging on it. I could never get it threaded properly without working on it for over an hour and even then it was rarely correct. I found your video, I slowly followed it and that’s the FIRST time I was able to thread it and serge a practice piece on the first try!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The manual and other videos did not help me to thread my serger properly. Within 30 minutes I had the perfect chain stitch. You are an awesome teacher.
I bought this machine a few years ago and it literally sat because I was so intimidated. I tried following the instructions in book and couldn’t figure it out. I watched your video and 1/2 hour later I am serging!!!! 🎉 thank you so much.
I must join the ranks of the grateful seamstresses for this video. I had a Bernina serger forever and thought I'd upgrade. I must say this one is more complicated, but your video really helped. thanks!!
OMG I was gifted this machine and I was totally intimidated. I have sewn for 50 yrs and have had lots of sergers (Bernina's) and even worked at a Sewing Center selling machines and I let this machine set for 2 weeks after I got it because I couldn't figure out (even with the manual) how to thread the dang blum thing.... I have watched 20 videos or so and none of them explained things as clearly and videoed the close up. Now it is threaded, and I am sewing on it like a pro.. I have not tackled the cover stitches threading but I am sure you have a video on that ... I am a new fan/subscriber and thumbs up sewer!! Thank you, Thank You, Thank You !!!
Thank you so much, Sir for sharing this video. I got the Singer Professional 5 14T968DC last year and just started threading this yesterday following the Instruction book. However, I were not sure if I did it correctly because it's very hard to see. I search and found your video very helpful. I would like learn more about this machine. Do you have more video to show how to use most simple stitch to more advance stitches? I would lie to learn more to make the best use of this machine. Your guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much for this video. I haven’t touched my serger in a few years and the lower looper was killing me. Got it all threaded and stitches nicely. I don’t plan on changing the thread anytime soon!
I am so glad I found this video since I struggled with the threading at some points. Seeing it someone doing helps so much. So thank you or taking the time to show us. Much appresciated
I bought this machine for myself after saving for few years. I was excited and very intimidated. Thank you for your thorough video. I read the manual several times but just didn't get the looper threading. I have subscribed and look forward to learning from you. I can't thank you enough!
What I did and still do, is when I go use my serger, i alwasy unthread it completly , and give it a quick cleaning and a drop of oil if needed , and rethread it. Now I can almost di it blind folded.
When trying to thread the loopers try using a blue dental loop found in the toothbrush isle. Put the straight edge through the small hole and the tread through the loop and pull. Really helps.
It is a great machine, it does take time to switch between serger to coverstitch. It was my first serger, to get used to it, I took an old bed sheet and cut it up into 8"x5" strips and spent a day or so trying out all of the different stitches, got me used to the sound and speed of the machine as well.
@@mrneedlebreaker oh that is a great idea! Is it a particularly noisy serger? I am trying to see one in person before I buy it, but still working on that.
In this video while threading the lower looper you do v groove first then thread the eye . In instructions booklet it threads eye first then v groove . Can you tell me which it is. Things arent working well
I use it most for basic constitutions of wovens and some stretch fabrics, it uses a lot of thread, I switch to a three thread stitch when doing lighter weight garments, undergarments, swim,
Hi! I see your machine has numbers listed. Is that the order of threading the serger to work correctly? I am guessing it is imperative it has to be followed?
I have only used 3 needle wide overstitch so far. I have followed the threading directions but when I sew a hem and pull the needles up (turning the wheel toward the back) the thread almost always get jammed I have to force the fabric out and the thread comes out of the left or right needle. Any suggestions? I'm ready to return it, it's so frustrating
You may want to try this if this happens again, Stop machine , lift presser foot, pull threads out from bottom with very thin screw driver and snip threads, squeeze fabric and pull away . This action should release fabric without harm.
It's just Singer 2022 needles size 11 or 14. You should be able to get them online or in any store that sells Singer needles. The manual says this is an industrial needle and you should not use regular machine needles in this model serger.
Hello. I have the same machine, but the machine doesn't do the stitches well. are too wide and some stitches are not made, I don't know why. There is a problem. how can I solve? from A to F and the i. all without tension. some don't, the blue thread doesn't meet the others. What i have to do?
