My mother, my Mum had this on vinyl and gave it to me. I have 3 siblings and used to cry to this as we were 4 babies. My brother died a couple of years ago and so now we are 3. This is the first time listening to this as 3 still alive and I'm in absolute bits
Mate love your emotions to this amazing song and tortured soul like so many abused left broken and discarded by society. Sinead opens your soul and no matter how masculine we think we are brings you to tears 💚
Agree with a lot of what you’ve shared. Masterpiece of a song on a masterpiece of an album. Only 20-21 when she wrote it; amazing. And yes, an absolutely incomparable voice. Her range and how she uses it is mind-boggling. My all-time favorite album ever. Definitely one of my all-time favorite songs of hers, and she has a lot of songs and albums. My favorite song of hers is You Cause As Much Sorrow. Are you familiar with ALL her music/albums? Would love to recommend a few songs of hers that possibly you haven’t heard yet :) Thanks for the video.
@@daxmusix Hopefully you haven’t heard at least a few of these. (Not including any songs from first 4 albums since I’m assuming you are already familiar with those…?) -- Still Listening, Sacrifice (her version), House of the Rising Sun (her version), My Special Child, Petit Poulet, Daddy I’m Fine, Queen of Denmark, Value of Ignoramce…. soooo many lol. Thanks again. :)
Just you know Sinéad’s debut album ‘The Lion & The Cobra’ is also a masterpiece. Check out ‘Troy’ in fact the whole album as you’ll love it as I still play it today. Plus all of her other albums like ‘Faith & Courage’ too
