We hope you are ready for our new Music Travel Vlog!?! As always, thank you for all of your lovely comments, likes etc.! We love reading them all! In this episode, we visit the RNCM (Royal Northern College of Music), but before a quick tour of their 1970s pipe organ, Tom takes a trip down Oxford Road to show us some important Manchester landmarks! We then travel to St David's Hall, Cardiff as Jonathan performs for the wonderful Welsh Proms on a rather awesome 1980s instrument! Finally it's back to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall for Jonathan's "Organ Symphony" Concert on the 1996 Marcussen Pipe Organ! Will Tom have time to visit the famous Manchester museum? What's at the end of the Green Line? What is at the Top of the Bridgewater Hall Pipe Organ that no one knows about!?!?! Discover the answers and much much more in Scott Brothers Duo On Tour "Three Concert Hall Pipe Organs from Three Decades"!!! Hope you enjoy it! Jonathan & Tom
Scores of the arrangements featured in this video are available here: www.scottbroth...

I love how Tom the extrovert provides the commentary; and Jonathan, the introvert, provides the music. You two are the best. Each one a professional. I think you would be lost without each other.

I could see that the mouse became your mascot, now in the video in the wooden version. 🐀 You must be the guardian of this pipe organ in this spectacular concert hall. I would like to meet her one day. 👍🙌🎶🥰🙋🏻‍♀️

Wonderful video and such variety. I really enjoy these strolls around and we are seeing some fantastic instruments. Especially love the sections in Manchester (My home town). You both really know how to get stuff across to the common man. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. James.

Another jolly video! It’s given me a great idea where we’ll go before our next visit to Bridgewater Hall to hear Jonathan play.

I just love touring around with you two. These magnificent organs are truly works of art. I'm glad that I don't have the job of dusting them, though, although it looked like mousy might enjoy a tickle with a feather duster. Thanks again for the fun. xx

Exactly the right ending - thunderous applause! Wonderful and very relaxed visit. I had no idea such modern organs even existed. Live and learn! Thanks, Guys, for your music, videos, energy and great humor. You saw me, and a lot of other people, through some grim times in the late pandemic. It's over; you're not! Well ahead on points.

Thank you both for the latest vlog, showing us your most recent travels. It was interesting to see the similarities between the '70s & '80s organs. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you found mice hiding inside a lot of organs!! I am really looking forward to the organ symphony video!! Have fun! xx

@scottbrothersduo I’ve been the organist at the Holy Name on Oxford Road for a year and a bit now and I study at the RNCM. I enjoyed playing the Organ in the 50th Anniversary Concert - Nice to see you at both instruments !

Wow that was both a witty and a whirlwind tour Dr Scott ! I am quite out of breath but wouldn’t have missed a second of the journey , never for a second would I have guessed that I’d explore the innards of an organ and find a mouse ! Bless you both ❤😊

Thank you Tom for documenting the walk! The street view, scenery, gates and walls make a wonderful backdrop. Jonathan voices the organ so perfectly for every piece. I love the registration!! The mouse loves organ, doesn't it? Thank you so much for sharing!

At least four comments on this hugely informative and entertaining Vlog! 1. Resolution! To go beyond Oxford Rd station into the road itself, so much to see 2. Amazing to be shown the massive space behind the Bridgewater organ, people have no idea about this 3. Mouse’s appearance interesting, but not quite like the ‘Mouseman’ carving seen in Ellesmere College Chapel (online concert 19) 4. Magic Bus joke was a laugh-out-loud! 🤣 Keep ‘em coming Tom!

I suppose your point 2 is self evident in that the organ has 5500 pipes which is way more than the number visible on the facade

@@epincionVery true, I’m at fault in not thinking about it when there for a concert. Resolving to remedy that too!

The N in RNCM very evident in it being "in the harle" 🙂. But seriously, it is wonderful to see inside an organ.

Good job you attended Owens rather than UMIST like myself, otherwise you’d have to show a mass of derelict buildings.

I appreciated the wonderful music, but it drowned out Tom's commentary, in my sound system. Sorry about that.
