@@nouseforaname4100 Idaho is racist as fuck, weird how so many residents claim it’s not a largely racist place, but those same people saying that are always white lol
@@johnathenwarner3380 no weren’t not, yall just don’t want more diverse cultures coming into idaho , more business opportunities, & over all a more accepting state bc ur scared of rising prices on housing. news flash it’s going to happen regardless.
Being an Idahoan I am ashamed at how some of the locals are treating you in your comments. Not everyone in Idaho is so rude and unfriendly. I hope their nastiness did not make our state look like an ugly place to visit. I just have to keep reminding myself that every state as their bad seeds. On a side note. You did a great job on this video I hope you enjoyed your time here. You'll need to come back and visit other places. Like Cauldron Lin, Craters of the moon, & the Ice caves, oh and bear world if you love real life bears 🐻💜
Thanks so much for watching and for the positive feedback! ☺️ Glad you enjoyed the video! We really did have a great time in Idaho! I know we barely scratched the surface so we cannot wait to come back one day!!
It's not that were being rude it's that out economy and our way of life has been affected tremendously by the waves of people moving from craphole places.
@@WaypointofView Yes, they did very good and we like that people enjoy our state. We live in Idaho for a reason, and I understand peoples' concerns. But, we are tired of people moving to our beautiful state just to ruin it by politics and out of state attitudes. Lately, seeing more people move here, I've been seeing more trash on the roads, more traffic, etc. I am not mean to the people who move here, but keep it the way it is, please.
We are not rude or unfriendly we just don't want people coming here and californiaing or organing or turning us into a cesspool like the liberal states are .. they are shit holes , I will not apologize for not wanting this state to go down the toilet,
I'm from WA and we're moving over in a couple months. I've watched my tiny hometown turn into a large corporate liberal material hell in my 30 years. Our vote doesn't even matter here. Just keep in mind not all of us are liberals... I don't speak for Californians or Oregonians when I say that...
Great video! As a local, it helps to get such a perspective to not take our area for granted. Maybe someone has already mentioned it, but I wanted to point out that the Perrine Bridge is pronounced just like it's spelled, with a long i and silent e.😊
Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed the video! And haha, yes others have told us too. We try really hard with pronunciations but definitely don't always hit the mark! ☺️
Saw this video 2 months before planning a trip with my parents. I was debating on Moab or Durrango (I live in Colorado, they live in Florida). Completely changed coarse when I saw this video!!! We had an amazing time!!! And ended the trip in Arches! What an amazing trip! Thanks for making this video! I had no idea Idaho was so beautiful!!!
Same, when my family moved to Idaho, it was a huge shock, especially Ketchum, Hailey, twin Falls, and Boise Idaho. Those are the only places I've gone to but I'm sure there is many more
@@NeonElixr We wanted to be there. We are conservatives from CA. Why are all the liberals moving there? They want to live cheaper. The conservatives want to be there to live in America again! It's sad. We can't find a place because the wrong people got there first! :(
@@hornerinf I deleted my comment because it was rude. I apologize. I do know where you are coming from. I’ve been forced to move from Las Vegas when the housing market economy crashed. I didn’t want to leave Nevada. It’s the worst feeling to be laid off unexpectedly. I’m sorry for that rude comment about California’s moving everywhere.
@@youngbuckbutcher2408 It’s an all around rough situation for everybody. It’s a little depressing right now because I’m trying to get into a house for the first time and I’m almost 40 years old. Houses have gone up so much in price that I can’t afford to buy one now. I was so excited to get a place to call home and now houses sell $50,000 to $80,000 more than their worth.
Most people in our area kayak, canoe, or paddle board to pilar falls. I've never taken the trail. Glad you enjoyed your time in Idaho & the twin falls area. I love my home. ❤️
Place is boring as heck. People suck. Too many fat chicks having kids way too young that's why there is a need for social workers in this boooring state.
@@queue555 Well it’s gonna be a boring state if you don’t like outdoors or being around a bunch of farms. And the people here are great, ya there’s a few that aren’t. Moved here 14 years ago from Utah where the people really aren’t great in Utah.
Whenever you are in idaho, you have to expect a pop-up storm at least once on your trip, one minute it could be sunny and 85, next thing you know you are in a middle of a storm with tornado warnings
Haha! So actually being from Twin Falls let me correct a small faux pas on the pronunciation of our bridge and falls down by the golf course. Its pronounced "Per-Rine" not "Per-Rini" 😁 I about fell out of my chair when I heard that!! Lol Glad you guys came to visit the area! There's a ton of cool spots like that! You'll have to check out Tea Kettle Cave out near Bliss Idaho if you're ever back this way! 🙂
Don't forget to visit the Treasure Valley! There are some amazing things to see here as well! Talk to some locals about pronunciation prior to recording, perhaps? 😅 For instance, when visiting Treasure Valley, it's Boi-see Not Boi-zee! As many have pointed out, it's Per-RINE not Per-Rini, although it was great for a laugh. In the Twin Falls area, you completely missed the jump site for Evel Knievel. Balanced Rock is a site to behold!
Just found your video and as a local I have to say you did a very good job highlighting our city and a few of the fun things to do here. We loved the other Idaho videos too! Thanks for showing off our great state!
So glad you found us and thanks so much! It means a lot hear that our videos can make a local proud! (and probably laugh a little too! Particularly at our pronunciations 🤣 ) We LOVED our time in Idaho and we know we barely scratched the surface for sure!!!
You guys are awesome. I moved to the PNW just about a year ago and have explored Idaho based on this video. Although I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area with my four-legged best friend of all time, you two remind me of lost loves. You are blessed to have each other. Cherish the relationship. Cheers. And TY!
Just a quick comment from someone born and raised in Twin. The reason the pillar falls trail isn’t well maintained is because it’s the most dangerous one in the area. Several people have lost their lives falling into the water around there including a navy seal, so please be cautious when hiking there 🙂
Idaho is beautiful 💕 we love it here♥️ so sorry about all the "we're full" "don't move here" comments😩 most people are more welcoming. Great video by the way 👌🙂
What a great video, especially the drone footage! I have passed by twin falls several times driving down to Utah or Colorado and really didn't even know what was there.
Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed! We were just as amazed at all Twin Falls had to offer! Definitely recommend a stop next time you're going by! ☺️
Love this! I live in Twin Falls and you guys captured it so awesomely!!! Makes me so happy to see people finally finding Twin Falls' amazing nature! You'll have to come back when its not smokey :) Also, just an FYI for anyone traveling here - if you hike to Pillar Falls do not swim in the water. It is extremely dangerous and multiple people have drown just this summer.
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! That is so nice of you to say and really wonderful to hear!! We loved our time in Twins Falls.. definitely want to come back one day! Very good to know about Pillar Falls. Glad we didn't swim there because we certainly thought about it! 😳
I keep hearing how beautiful Idaho is. We are planning our trip around the US now and Twin Falls is one of our stops. Looks like theres plenty to see! So excited!
You get a pass since you're not local, but if anyone's wondering, it's (Per-ine) bridge. Not (Pire-eene) bridge. No one will know what the heck you're talking about if you ask for a pire-eene bridge. Kinda like its (Boy-see) not (Boi-zee). Just go with how the locals say it. Also, Box canyon is an awesome hike. 🥰 Very lovely video.
Having lived 3/4 of the last 34 years in twin Falls Idaho, I find this to be the best representation I have ever seen. Great video. Though I’ve seen the falls many times, I’ve never seen it so beautifully portrayed, or the rest of the area. Thank you. I will now use your video to show off to others how great Idaho is.
Thanks so much for the kind words!! We are so glad you enjoyed our video and it means so much to hear this from someone in the area! Idaho was an unexpected surprise on our road trip and we cannot wait to go back!
Love Pillar Falls. Such a beautiful place. My friends and I used to airsoft there all the time. The hike out always gets you though! Thanks for the love! Idaho is beautiful and I miss it everyday! Also, You can find a trail to get on top of that waterfall you could walk behind above sentenial park. Beautiful sight.
In Idaho, the weather has a mind of its own. Today, it went from crystal clear to looking like a blizzard due to snow. It all happened in about five minutes. But if you come again in the summer, a place with an absolutely stunning sunrise/set is Pike’s Peak(it’s been a while but I think that’s what it’s called). It’s only about an hour and 30-45 minutes from twin falls.
Twin Falls local here. Just wanted to correct you on the pronunciation of the Perrine Bridge. In the video you guys pronounced it as "PER-REE-NEE", its actually pronounced "PUR-RHIN". basically just take a cats purr and add it to the "RHINE" part of the word "Rhinestone". Don't' worry, you guys aren't the only ones to mispronounce its name or any of the names we have around here. We like to make them confusing for everyone! :} Also, !!!Please never swim in the water at Pillar Falls!!! Every year several people get pulled to the bottom of the river from the undertow and drown in the falls. In most cases it takes days, weeks, or even months (most often weeks) for your body to resurface once you have been pulled into the water. Out of all the places in the river to swim, please DO NOT SWIM AT PILLAR FALLS!!!
I've lived in Twin for a year now and haven't visited the Thousand Springs area at all! But, if you come back through, go visit Cauldron Linn (waterfall) in Murtaugh. I went there for a sunset back in the spring, and had the whole place to myself!
The river is low throughout the summer as the water is being stored in reservoirs and drawn off for irrigation canals. Snow runoff in the spring is the best (and most busy) time to see all of the falls.
Thare is a spot behind a James Ray property. It looks like a crack but when you drop down it's a cave that opens to a hole in the canyon wall with a small tree grown on a out crop right in the middle.😄😄
Idaho is amazing and beautiful forested country. Rock hunting is the best. City of Rocks! Craters of the Moon! Birds of Prey sanctuary and their Museum in Boise. Your video is great thanks for sharing🙏🏼
Thanks so much for watching! It really is an amazing state, I know we barely scratched the surface there! Hope to visit again one day so thank you for the recs!! ☺️☺️
I live in Twin Falls and love your video! You almost all my favorite places!! Just for the record, Petrine is pronounced “purr-ine”. You guys did a great job!❤️
Oh yay, that's so great to hear!! We did a lot of research before visiting so glad to know we hit a lot of the highlights! Thanks so much for watching!
The Snake River plain is where the Oregon Trail is. In the summer 100 degrees is common. I stand in awe of the pioneers who walked along their wagons from St. Louis to Oregon and Washington. Women in long heavy skirts trekked across that desert. It wasn't easy and many died and are buried along the trail. We all must remember our heritage and the bravery of the first Americans to travel west.
@@hitbycars it’s not the people as much as I’d like to jump on that train. They come for better living. It is what it is. & as far as complaining goes, it was quite humorous the people that bought property not even a mile from a rural racetrack & then complained over the noise. The track stays for now.
Thank you for posting this fabulous video of our area. I am a realtor in the Magic Valley Area and this is a great way to share all of the cool things to do in the Twin Falls area. Safe travels.
Aww yayy, thanks so much for watching! I am glad you enjoyed the video and we definitely appreciate the kind words! ☺️☺️ We really did love our time in Twin Falls and hope to get back to Idaho soon!
I think you caught Idaho pretty well on this trip. Lots of low key nature in unmaintained spots - you caught the weather here too, it’ll turn on you out of the blue . This area of the Snake River Corridor is very dry and hot or dry and cold- it’s a desert basically.
Yea that while sneaky cool thing really sums us up lol. Because some of the best places you'll see is when you just pick a random trail and just start walking. Hidden caves, lakes, falls, ect. Just kinda wander around aimlessly and you'll see some really cool stuff. Glad you guys enjoyed it here tho.
Unfortunately I think you were visiting at the time Twin Falls was getting smoke in from the Washington Oregon and California fires. That would explain the haze 😊
Yep! That is exactly when we were there!! Luckily it cleared for us when went a bit north to the Sawtooths.. but then we got right back in it in Washington! We loved our time in Twin Falls regardless!
Those are my favorite hikes! You did a great job showcasing our area. It was a nice piece of home as I've been traveling for the last several months and missing these places. Southern Idaho--and especially the Thousand Springs area--is definitely a special place. Thanks for documenting it. All the best in your travels.
My son and granddaughters all moved to Idaho and love it.. It is a lot cheaper. Son is trying to get us to also bail California but the weather is so perfect here, but the cost is insane.
Twin falls is an awesome town I live here there's a waterfall called centennial that you can walk completely behind there's cliff jumping base jumping trails that hike out to water pools and aquifers and canyons there's all kinds of stuff here it's an adrenaline junky Town people like to be outside
Nice to see a video about twin. I lived there 1978-1982. I went to bickle elementary. My friends and I would run to derkies lake, skateland, the falls. We would go to the movies. And it was next to a grave yard, so when you came out late at night- you would see head stones. I dont know if the theater is still there? I had a great friend Erin fillmore, who would take me out to the coulee behind her house, and go on the swing into the water. I lived out by the airport, and we would ride bikes out there. It was a magical place as a child. Always something to do. Lived by the Henderson family, good people. Twin, is a gem. I didn't have a choice moving away, kids dont. The people there were always friendly and helped their neighbors. Great place.
@@WaypointofView I really admire both of your views towards life. It's the memories and love between you two , that stays with us. Money, has always been low on my list. It's the adventure. Stay safe.

So happy your were able to visit Ritter Island. Was there last month and it was closed. grew up in the area and there is so much to see and do in the Magic Valley.
Oh wow... I live in Twin Fall almost 3years now but haven't visit some of these area. Busy working but I'm looking forward to visiting those places someday.
Dirkes is right by Shoshone falls and there is a popular swimming area and cliff diving area. Unfortunately there have been some who have had fatal accidents there though so I would advise against trying to be too much of a dare devil in that area.
For next time you come Twin Falls way, kayak from Centennial Park up to Pillar Falls. And plan it when there may be BASE jumpers so you can watch them jump from on the river. It's REALLY cool
Thank you for the recommendation! First time I watch one of your videos and planning on following you through your adventures, your video is really good!!!
Shoshone Falls was spectacular. I guess I need to put Idaho on my hiking bucket list. You guys should have tried catching some fish! Oh wow base jumping must be an adrenalin rush!
The reason its like this is because its so underrated, just ask residents what happens to Dierkes Lake every single year because of tourism; let alone what happens to camp sites every summer.
@@joshuastevens5910 understatement I was escorted off the location by police last time i was there because some bitch decided to throw 4 mcdonalds bags of trash right into the water, so i... Kindly returned them to her. It was fun, the cops were really nice about it; they were pissed when i told them what happened. Havent been back since 2014 when that happened, afaik its become a real shithole and police just wont go there unless its bad bc of the constant fights between residents and tourists.
@@LoneWolf-kw3ol We moved from Utah to Idaho 16 years ago. We’ve always respected the lands and our public use of it. But in Utah people did the same, I live around the Bancroft area, every summer so many people trash the camp sites at chesterfield reservoir. 24 mile reservoir is even worse, that’s a party spot for all the high school kids. They trash the shit out of it. I’m with the ranchers on wanting states to have the land rights not the blm. So many ranchers in this area chase off dirt bikers and 4wheelers that mob through their fields or leave gates open up on the open ranges. If people don’t shape up public lands will be shut down in Idaho, just like they were in Utah.
@@joshuastevens5910 theyve already been shutting down public land because of it; last summer we had i believe 9 fires in the southern areas because of campfires that werent put out; and because of campsite conditions tons of public grounds were closed. Last time we went camping up near Oakley Reservoir we went to 8 sites we knew of, in july, and every single one was trashed with beer bottles smashed, cans left in the fires, garbage everywhere. Normally i avoid forest service but ive never been so happy to have them start patrolling roads and shutting sites down as i was last year
@@LoneWolf-kw3ol People will never learn. I’m only 26 but I’m teaching my step daughter to respect the land and if a gate is closed on a public trail, close it behind you and if it’s open it’s open for a reason.
