i like how its a thing that people always expect the tourist to be something different like taller or more intimidating then when they meet him he's not what they expect i like that
i chose to let the bells ring and i don't think there is gonna be a 3rd game.. a perfect ending killing off everyone for a clean slate a 3rd game would be fun yes but sadly would ruin the second completely
*If they do they can finally get rid of the bells ringing. Stupid mechanic in the first game & flat out infuriating in the 2nd. Even upon completion the bells still ring. It makes zero sense.*
I quite like the ending, I'm glad we get to reach Mama personally. I was worried she'd be escaping and we'd have to wait for "chapter 3". Overall the game is pretty much what I expected it to be. I'll wait patiently for the PC release in February. I think I won't let her speak and I'll punch her in the face with the Sap Gloves. In one of my playthrough that is!
No matter what ending turning the lights off or letting the bell rings people are gonna die. It either you let people die now or later when supplies run out.
The game played up how the choices you make may come back to bite you in the ass, but the ending is literally one of two options: stop bells or let them ring. I don't think there will be a chapter 3 unless they add in some content and fix its bugs and crashes, this game felt more like an expansion than a sequel
I had a skull named Skully and when she talked about her genocide being just and her saying I know this was the right choice I clubbed her with Skully and she went spinning down to the floor and just realized that I could've stopped the bells if I got the key
I'm a true killer. In the first game, I killed the reclaimed, the tower, may, jb, casey, and may. In the second I killed the three in the reserve, then I killed the axeman, then I killed all my comrades killing the tower (or raiding) and killed all the tower soldiers outside. Then I went inside, killed all the tower soldiers, and killed the wandering people in the tower, including the ones in the secret rooms, then finally killing mama, letting the key fall, city burn. I then killed every zombie until the map no longer had a skull. So I can officially confirm that I am a true killer.
Would love to see a chapter 3 but instead we move onto another city like Miami or Los Angeles and continue our story as the tourist and face a new big bad
Mama... the ultimate hypocrite. Literally everything she says about others doing wrong are the same thing she's doing wrong. It boils down to "they tried to kill me for my differing opinion". Meanwhile, killing others because of their differing opinion. Nothing she said made me sympathetic towards her. I had no issue with saving her head in my catacombs.
Ok so like good ending but does anyone else feel like it was kinda rushed at the end I mean nothing ever came of the priest. The pawn king is worthless in his current state. And other areas are only used in supply missions with no story element. I just feel like there shoulda been a better epilogue that covers more long term effects or maybe rebuilding the eclair like the game first started out with just to abandon.
I Just finished the game myself, and during the game i didnt shoot the priest, and i SWEAR i Saw him shooting at me on the streets at the Tower map in this mission, lol
ngl retribution dropped the ball. sonny crosses us twice and he's protected by an unkillable wall like wtf and the gery fight was just long it wasn't fun it was just long AND YOU DONT LET US GET HIS AXE!?! no but we got the chosen right. ;/
@@iicey3102 you didn't read my msg because if you did youd know I love the game it did drop the ball with gerry too much hype for run in a circle shoot bomb
@@tristinsmith1220 Where do you say you love the game? also the gerik fight wasnt that great but it was good, as gerik is hella scary when he just pops up behind the corner. And i liked the bomb bit as it's nerve racking to asemble it while a monster is chasing you throwing bombs
I really hope that we get a game from a much different perspective, it can be from a future rival of The Tourist, or maybe from Henri before he died. I like the thought of playing as Henri before the Tourist came, just to see how he was, and what lead him up to that moment. I feel that a great part of that game would be us, aka Henri, discovering the graveyard and what it was before he turned it into his base.
I think it was a glitch but when i played the game first time through i walked off the tower and the screen went black This wouldve been such a better ending than just killing mama and going back home
Are you supposed to lose all your scavenged loot after the game is completed? When I finished my bag was exactly as it was when I went in and same with my ammo and everything..? Is that intentional or is that a glitch?
I decided to kill in my second save file and let the bells ring, that was a mistake, every area gets overrun and the entire game is unplayable. It seems that actions do have consequences.
That's the exact reason I killed her after speaking with her, because the walkers found their way into our home and we wouldn't be able to live or get all our stuff back
Yeah same, Ive done both endings same thing happens. Ive even slept an extra 20 days to see if they would not be overrun anymore due to the bells only just being turned off but nope still overrun. Guess its a bug. Early access for ya lol.
must be a bug. before the final mission, via carolla and old town were overrun but after the mission, only via carolla was (although i have heard that one may need to be turned off manually)
Is there a glitch or bug in the game? When I finished the game i can’t travel anywhere but I can only travel to the Tower where the whole tower attack mission restarts
i did the good ending today (used key and stopped power to stop bells) and no place is overrun anymore except via corolla, still wanna figure out how to free up the place there ( don't spoil me guys pls! )
i kind of agreed with her but nonetheless i understood that whether she was right or not it was not her choice whether all those people should live in the horrible world or die and spare them the torture
I wanna see the tower overrun. I know it cant happen normally, but could you make a video turning on the overrun setting on the tower with the debug menu?
I was surprised to have the pawn shop guy live after pushing for the girl to shoot him, but what do you do after these endings!?!? Just roam around without cause? We need something other than exile missions.
Yeah, I think they should have had that happen. A lot of players will end up killing her before she finishes and have to redo that portion of the game, not a great experience. Other NPC's drop their quest items when you end them.
Anyone get the "Reclaimed Retribution" (end Mama's reign once and for all) Achievement? I've done all 3 of the endings from this vid and it still hasn't popped. What am I doing wrong?
Did you have to get the launch version to get the knife to spawn on the table cuz I don't know I'm far far back from that I haven't liked for a played retribution to its fullest but I've been looking for that knife so is that the only way to get it without using the lunch thing like doesn't it spawn they're regularly or do you just have to get the launch version?
Does anyone know if there is any sort of difference in if you kill the axe man or not, why give the option to kill him and all these people if we never see them again anyway ?
Bro, can you help me? I'm on mission "Hook Us Up!", when I try to go to Bourbon Street it kicks me out of the game. Dude, I really love this game, if you can tell me whats happening and how I need to fix, please tell me.
I got the second ending. Since the bells ring everywhere now, everywhere is full of walkers. does anyone know how long this lasts? does it last forever???
That's fair. I think killing her right away, which a lot of players did, you don't even find out about the key and the bells, so it's pretty different even though the outcome for the maps is the same.
Do you have any special recording settings enabled for the Quest 2? Because whenever I record there is a black bar on the left side that moves when I move my head and it covers the footage. Also I love your content on this channel.
The black bar is from motion smoothing. The recording is slowing down the footage when you turn, the problem with that, is that the headset only renders what you're currently looking at. When the recording slows down the turn, there's literally nothing rendered for those black portions because you were no longer facing that direction while you played. To avoid this you can turn slowly, use snap turn or slow smooth turn. You could also turn off the recording comfort or smoothing settings. I record through SideQuest which doesn't have motion smoothing and thus no black bars, but footage can feel a bit spastic if I'm turning a lot.
So I went to the hotel after this did but there were two papers that were purple one was the bells rang for 3 days and one saying for the tower to go somewhere else then I tried leaving but It said leaving will reset mission progress?
You can find the sap gloves in bourbon street, if you spawn in the area that branches off to the street and the destroyed building, go towards the street, go right towards the tower symbol in the map, go inside of the hallway, keep going straight and past the opening to the other houses, go upstairs, enter the room past the skeleton and then you should see a recipe which is for the bolted up sap gloves
I say this in every zombie game… it’s all fun until you realize there is no point in living. Why stay in an apocalypse and wait to be shot or chewed? You don’t.
@@yoshiplays14 thats what I plan on doing in my sinners play through so I won't need to wait for her to give me the key cause I'm going to let the bells ring
It's similar to a trolley problem, as in sacrifice some people to save other people. The difference is that Mama's prediction of what will happen is just that, a prediction, it's not certain. You'd be sacrificing people on the assumption her theory is correct. Her theory discounts people's boundless ability to innovate and overcome. I believe the morally correct decision is to stop the bells.
The question is… what affects the gameplay after you kill or go with mama? I stopped the bells (go with the reclaimed) and nothing really happened after that but if the bells keep going then what will the gameplay be like
They seriously need to add multiplayer support if they decide to port the trials mode over to retribution. It would be hands down the best zombie game on quest and it would double if not triple their sales for the game expanding into that multiplayer genre.
Itd be interesting but it would ruin the whole vibe that the devs said themselves that the tourist is supposed to be yourself irl, so implementing character creation or sum would be weird
@@BlogsRust doesn’t exactly have to be character creation. Just two masked people fighting off hordes of zombies with waits and sinners physics would be fuckin awsome
I feel like the Against Mama ending was the happiest ending this game could get, you actually feel like you set the city on the right path and overall it put a smile on my face.
I bought Saints and Sinners for my daughter and I suggested watching your video's. It was probably less than a minute in, she states "He is from Canada" 🤣
For some reason after I beat the game all the locations are infested and have the skull icon on them on the skiff travel map. I don't know how to fix it.
@@egg5639 I learned elsewhere that me letting the bells ring was the issue about a month ago. I loaded from the tower mission and chose to stop the bells. Luckily it did the trick and now I can travel around 🙏🙏🙏
Mate I’ve gotta ask can you stop putting spoilers in your titles, I’d really rather not know what’s going to happen before I get to play it in February. Cheers
