Three European Classic News from Matchbox & Hot Wheels Premium in scale 1/64

There are always new models from both Matchbox and Hot Wheels. Many different manufacturers make very similar models and it sometimes feels like even though there is a lot of news, it is still not new. This time it felt a bit funny as we got to see some classics coming. Maybe it's the nostalgia that kicks in and makes them a little special. For sure, this is different for different people. Here you will at least see an Englishman and two Germans. The Englishman is a Morris Minor Saloon that really makes one smile. Of the Germans, the first consists of a Volkswagen Golf GTI MkI and the second comes from the "Fast & Furious" series and is a classic BMW M5 1991' from Hot Wheels Premium.

Det kommer hela tiden nya modeller ifrån både Matchbox och Hot Wheels. Många olika tillverkare gör väldigt lika modeller och det gör att det ibland känns som att trots att det kommer mycket nyheter, så är det ändå inte nytt. Den här gången kändes det lite roligt då vi fick se några klassiker komma. Kanske är det så att det är nostalgin som kickar in och gör dem lite speciella. För säkert är det så att detta är olika för olika människor. Här får ni i alla fall se en engelsman och två tyskar. Engelsmannen är en Morris Minor Saloon som verkligen får en att le. Av tyskarna består den första av en Volkswagen Golf GTI MkI och den andra kommer ur "Fast & Furious" serien och är en klassisk BMW M5 1991' from Hot Wheels Premium.

Don't Like The VW GTI - The Wheels Are Horrid, The Rear Lights Are Not Detailed - They are in the Body Colour AND Did You Notice the Word "Rabbit" on the Front Wings?? That is the American Version NOT European!!

Hello! This model costs somewhere between 1-3 dollars depending on if you live in the states or somewhere else in the world. The recommended price in Sweden is around 4 dollars. (This is because of the very weak Swedish currency) So this Golf/Rabbit is meant to be very, very sheep. If you compare to other models that cost this low price, this one is marvelous. As you can hear in the video we are saying things about the backlights. The wheels used to be, the same for every car matchbox-model in the older days, so even if you don't like them, they are seen in many different rims over here in Europe. I have even owned Golf cars with similar rims. Matchbox is advertising this as a pack of 72 cars with a little bit more European cars to the shops. So it is Matchbox themselves that is talking about this. Still Volkswagen Golf GTI is still an European car even if it was sold under the name Rabbit in the states in the older days. Matchbox/Mattel want to sell as many cars as possible off course, so if they can flirt with both the American and European market it is just a bonus for them. As a European, this Golf is very accurate and we are not spoiled with nice European cars from Mattel. :-) Hope you understand our point of view. Greetings: Hans @ modellbilar
