He even got to sing his "Gonfalon Galliard" to Dorothea while she's having tea with Petra... :)

This reminds me of the Voltron: Legendary Defenders episode where Shiro was the epitome of uncreative and just did Paladin all the way home. He might not be as hammy as Ferdinand but they're similar enough in the creativity (or lack thereof) department.
