I think Rhyme is a great RU-vidr, a great friend to his colleagues and overall decent person (seeing him take out Cinna to a Disney park was great - nothing but smiles). I also respect his work ethic (he’s the only one of the three idiots that uploads daily), and the fact that without him, there wouldn’t have been a three idiots if he didn’t reach out to Deion and Doto to the extent and in the manner he did. _THAT BEING SAID_ I personally don’t like his commentary/contributions to group videos. Yes, other people like Doto and Deion can be purposefully toxic but it’s coloured with jokes, bits, and/or delivery that feels comedic. Rhyme’s brand of toxicity and comedy isn’t as well executed and feels like being toxic for toxic’s sake - it rarely has the payout he wants/expects and it has the unwanted effect of destabilizing the vibe of commentary from the rest of other RU-vidrs in the video. There were a handful of times I recall where Deion and Doto have their own commentary going which have a nice flow and Rhyme tries to force them into his bit (or challenge/side quest in the raid videos) and sometimes makes them respond with “What are you talking about” or “that’s not right Dino” and with Dino refusing to elaborate further. In that sense, I sometimes wonder if he fights against the kind of vibe Doto and Deion are trying to make. I remember the first time Rhyme tagged Deion in during Doto’s Roshi Raid video and that was *hilarious*. But I also remember watching him do the same thing in his own Gogeta raid video. Deion and Doto’s genuine annoyance with Rhyme’s excuses of saying ‘finish your food’ or ‘it’s for the bit’ made me not want to watch it more than once. Also, seeing Doto tagging Rhyme in at the end of Deion’s Jiren Raid boss video was fun (since it gave him a taste of his own medicine), but seeing him get so salty and desire Doto to die (“welcome to death B*TCH) rubbed me the wrong way as it kind of lacked self-awareness. Hearing Deion say a few times during the raid videos to Dino something like ‘you are the worst teammate ever” doesn’t help either. There are a few other examples (like the group Crash Bandicoot livestream where he annoyingly and suddenly made what should have been a group experience of the first level a race and crowned himself the winner or how he speedran a lot of the Mario party 3d world levels and basically turned Deion off of the whole thing) but I’ve spent too much time on this. I didn’t plan on commenting this in the first place, but after watching them for so long I couldn’t help myself I guess after seeing this comment thread. Again, I love Rhyme, as a content creator and as a person, but his antics, his brand of toxicity, and commentary can be a bit too much for me.
