Three million plus one - meet tiny Pranisa.
With Western Australia’s population tipping over three million this week, little Pranisa is one of the State’s newest residents.
Pictured with her mum Manisha, she was born at the Armadale Health Service on Thursday morning at 10.35am, weighing 2.65 kilograms.
She will soon join her five-year-old sister Pramisa and father Prakash in their East Cannington home.
Her parents were born in Nepal and now call WA home.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics estimates that we hit the three million milestone on Thursday 24 October based on:
One birth every 16 minutes and 44 seconds
One death every 29 minutes and 43 seconds
One person arriving to live in Western Australia every 6 minutes and 7 seconds
One Western Australia resident leaving to live overseas every 21 minutes and 56 seconds
One Australian resident migrating from another state to live in WA every 14 minutes and 33 seconds
An overall total population increase of one person every 6 minutes and 8 seconds.
Thank you Manisha and Prakash for choosing Armadale Hospital to care for you and deliver your precious baby girl!
