@@Swisha16 5 is better than 4 too. People should just let the creators do as many boards as the creators feel like the game can hold. Plus more boards could pop up if there ever ends being more Mario parties for the switches.
It honestly should be standard by now. So many Nintendo games get a little extra (often for free) after launch. An extra board a couple months down the line would really drive it all home.
@@fixxviolet7650 if too few characters is enough to sway you to not buy this game, because playing as Diddy Kong or whoever is just REALLY that important to you… then idk what to tell you. It’s a bad reason to miss on what looks to be a great game.
That's exactly what i have been saying since like 2-3 months ago but until now people have saying is gonna be "DLC" when people should have suspected since Mario tennis Aces & Mario Golf Super Rush.
@@bulborb-plushie super mario party wasn't that bad it was a step in the right direction with ditching the linear structure and karts of the past, This is just much more polished then super mario party was.
In the predictions there was no talk of Yoshi's tropical island and I don't even remember it. Nice to have a summery beachy one though like we had in Super Mario Party. But there was a lot of talk about Horror Land in predictions and I'm also glad it's in. Love it
Please give us DLC in this game with more minigames, boards and characters. Only having 10 characters seems like a missed opportunity. If you can't add Bowser's Minions you can still add interesting characters like Pauline, Nabbit and others.
We don’t know if the DLC is coming. After the release date, why not stay tuned for some DLC, because I was hoping that more DLC would be included every month starting in December.
I’m happy with the board choices, but I also hope there’s some sort of secret unlockable 6th board like with previous Mario Party games or as someone else already mentioned future DLC boards!

They actually change the direction at the start of every turn, when you land on a ? space, or when you pay them 5 coins at a molehill. So it's actually highly predictable and "expected." If they said it happened _frequently_ that would be more accurate
@@Chun-believable Well Diddy Kong is a Mario character and so does Donkey Kong and if Donkey Kong is in the game then so does Diddy Kong. Even Rosalina is in it and she never play the mini games from the original before. Also Diddy Kong is my favorite character
@@brad2723-m7d Donkey Kong is just as much of a Mario character, as he is a Donkey Kong character. Diddy is not. Donkey Kong is a staple in the Mario series. Diddy is not. I don’t know why you brought Rosalina up, she is a Mario character. Diddy is not. Rosalina has been included in every game since she was introduced in galaxy, dating all the way back to Mario Kart Wii. Diddy has not. I wouldn’t mind seeing Diddy (and Dixie, Funky, Tiny, Cranky and Candy) in, but he’s not even half as important as Rosalina and Donkey Kong. So bringing them up makes no sense.
I always loved playing Horror Land in Mario Party 2 so dang much! It was always when it was a heated close match, then seeking out the Big Boo with the skeleton key and paying 150 coins to steal one star from each player and pull out a photo finish victory on the last turn!
@@sonicboom20078 Watch his video on his channel. It's because they look very similar to some other boards already in like Horror Land and Woody Woods both being forests or in the case of YTI it's shaped similarly to Peach's Birthday cake
Still interested in this game. It looks so gorgeous visually and the two boards they chose rock. I guessed Spiny Desert but Horror Land is another awesome choice, with the whole day/night cycle. Also, ofc, Daisy made it in, and she got an updated look! Her skin is slightly tanned. That's great. However, ngl, I am pretty bummed that it seems Diddy Kong and Pauline didn't make it. Diddy In particular I'm curious as to why he wasn't shown. Is he not in the game? DLC? Oh well, still looks really fun.

I'm here for it. Anything to combine the best qualities of each character is a plus for me. I wish they'd slightly de-goofify Wario, Waluig, and Bowser to be more like they were in like Mario Tennis 64.
@@Wolfywolf7 yeah she is. Her skin looks tan here considering when she made her first appearance in MP3 and MT64, her skin was tan there as well. Also, look at her debut art in Super Mario Land, her skin was tan there as well.

We could get a mps 2 with gcn and mp8 boards after this one. Then after that ndcube will actually know how to make good boards and items again and make mario party 11 with inspirations frok the first 8 games
WesternLand was the biggest snub, it should have made it, I’m not a big fan of Yoshis tropical island, it’s too small & boring, disappointed that map was chosen as 1 of the 5
@@redyoshi1873 Yhea, but there were already 2 in from MP2. So it was always going to be one or the other. It seems like they looked at the bigger mechanics of boards. So Yoshi made it because of the bribing mechanic, Spaceland made it in because of the parade and "the middle of the board goes boom" mechanics. And Woody woods made it in because It's the only MP3 board that isn't a complete dumpsterfire! xD I think/hope we'll see a few DLC boards added and still get Westernland...and maybe Spiny desert or Chilly waters.
I think what they did is that they tried NOT to include the fan favourite board of each game (Rainbow Castle, Western Land, Waluigi's Island) and give some of the lesser-liked boards a chance.
*CybershockGames:Mt mini games seems like a good idea for those that only want to the mini game courses without doing the rolling of the dice for the spaces.
I feel like the title screen will have at the very least the title themes of the first 3 games (if not all 10), and they will just pop up randomly as you boot up the game
Super Mario Party? That game is one of the worst Mario Party’s lol doesn’t even deserve to be in the top 5, the only good Mario Party’s are on the N64 & Gamecube, everything after 🗑
To be honest, I think Toadette's better off as a host. Her popularity and acknowledgement from Nintendo is starting to fleet, considering how NSMBUDX didn't have much new content to offer, and she was a post-launch character in Mario Golf. Toad should be playable again. It's only fair since Koopa Troopa can reenter the fray as a host.
I don’t think a lot of people cared for Toadette to begin with, she was just introduced out of the blue in Double Dash with no explanation who she is and she was absent for at least 5 years too
Excited for this! The new features revealed here look glorious! Also, I was a little bit worried that Daisy wouldn’t be playable at all in this game, even though she is a little bit annoying in my own personal opinion, but I’m glad that after watching today’s Nintendo direct, she is in the game, making the character selection pretty much complete. However, I still wish Pauline and Diddy Kong were also playable characters because having both of the Kongs is just better than having only Donkey Kong and because Pauline has been featured in a few more recent Mario titles.

We're getting sequels to BotW and Splatoon 3 after five years, so I think it only makes sense. So, my question is - if we get an official Super Mario Party 2, which 14 heroes and which 14 villains would you want as playable characters, for a roster of 28?
Absolutely love this game and it really lends itself to DLCs of more boards, mini-games and characters which I truly hope we get. Especially now Mario Kart 8 deluxe has had a DLC with some of the old courses on. I would love to see koopers tycoon Town, shy guy express as well as some more of the mini-games come back from Mario party 8 as that was the first Mario game I played. I've seen videos of boards from the earlier games that people would love to see back and I'd love to play them for the first time, they seem to lend themselves to the new format of how Mario Party Superstars is played. Also as a free update, I hope they add 2vs2 because I loved that feature.
This is my most anticipated game this year. To play the classic 3 Mario Party game with online play has always been a dream of mine and this is almost that. This is looking and sound fantastic. Can't wait.
I really hope they listen to the community and make some DLC boards, i'd really love to see Spiny Desert, Bowser Land, Chilly Waters and Mario's Rainbow Castle in HD, even some GC and MP8 boards as well (not 9 and 10 since they're made for the "car playstyle"), some more minigames for the non-64 games would be ideal too, some really got shafted tbh, and it would be nice to get a few extra characters as well, like Pauline, Diddy Kong or some funny and unexpected choices like Luma, Petey Piranha, Nabbit or King Bob-omb have been in other games, this game looks so good already and it has such an amazing potential for extra content, but i'm honestly perfectly fine with this if it's all we're getting

@@mtj8870 Those are far easier to get around tho, like, the reworking on those boards would be much easier than on linear boards that literally require the car, it's not even like the Mario Party 1 boards tbh, it's just weird, and imo they lack personality tbh, but that's just me, i suppose they could work something out if they put actual effort into it
They sai in game purchases but that probably means nso. Dry bones should be in tho considering there's nothing that deconfirms him. Plus the character roster at the start is asymmetrical hinting at more characters
Na MP2 has HorrorLand BowserLand SpaceLand WesternLand & PirateLand, those are the best ones from the N64 era, Peach’s Birthday Cake the best MP1 board, Yoshis Islands decent the musics good that’s it, MP3 boards🗑 I only liked Creepy Cavern
