It's nothing like Monopoly, apart from the shared aspect of acquiring resources (though Catan has a lot more resources to manage other than money and property). That being said, Eurogames have come along since 1995 when Catan was released; and while Catan still holds up, check out BGG's Top 100 list(boardgamegeek.com) for some modern Eurogame favourites.

Honestly the hype is no longer needed. A little while back they were the clear stand outs as the best rechargeable batteries but the competition has gotten better, such as Ikea offering Ladda batteries. Though I believe they are Eneloops rebranded. Also they've moved some of the manufacturing from Japan to China and people claim the Chinese versions are not as effective.

Asdfghjkl dude good on you. I’ve been climbing for 6 months and can’t do v4s yet. Granted there are a few 5s and 6s that I can’t do cause of strength. I can do v3s on any wall and maybe a v4 slabs but nothing harder.
