The shot reminds me of my days of league bowling in the 1980's on wood lanes, with the first urethane balls like the AMF Angle. A little hook and somewhere between 2nd and 3rd arrow.

Sorry, I gotta get this out. Went bowling last night to catch the 20 dollars all you can bowl till close. I was on my 4th game, 9 strikes in a row. ( Feeling massive pressure, I'm also a gutter bowler) Starting the 10th I go through my routine. Cooled my thumb, wiped the oil off my ball, added chalk to my thumb and stepped up for my first shot in the 10th. Everything felt great as I was about to release my ball until....I threw my ball 3 boards more to the right than I usually do. Praying it would reach the pocket before the oil took it to the deep end. I guttered it.....heart sank, people gasped and a random person came up and gave me a hug. lol Finished with Spare and a Strike for 270. Oh well. That's life. Death and Taxes.

flat patterns so old school. glad to see there's still tournaments like this. bowler accuracy should not be overshadowed by the latest core or surface tech. pro bowlers character strengths should als9 be put to the test. what a great video for your awesome channel. thx

If you think this is hard wait for the reverse XMAS tree next year. Zero oil outside 5 each side and oil tapers off at 40 feet to center 30 boards. Every 6" you lose oil volume and length. so at the foul line there was only oil middle 6 boards. We shot on it last week 40 of us and no one broke 100. We all are 200 house shooters. We were pulling spare balls and rocks off shelves and it was still over hooking. Splits galore. we had over 1100 splits in 4 games. I should mention-we had 5 broken wrists from bowlers hitting things in frustration-over 100 verbal fouls and fines. Most of us just learned to laugh it off-but it was a a valid oil pattern. winner average was 97.4 and took home 5 grand.
