Hahahahah accidently😂😂 when i first started climbing munro my body felt broken for a full week. Was always limping at work. If you done it regularly you would smash it easy💪🏽
Wish I’d watched this before I did it in September. How naive I was to not train for it. Didn’t take any poles. Absolutely killed my legs. Couldn’t walk for a week afterwards.
Lol 😂 I’m doing this in September and have done similar ones previously where I was peer pressured to not take any poles… needless to say I’ll be taking the poles when I do this challenge ha
Hi Oscar, lots of snacks and water to keep you going. Hiking poles would be useful for coming down each mountain! Id recommend doing all 3 in daylight like i did! If you can get a driver to drive you then you should. If not then bring a lot of coffee or tea for the car journeys. I wish you luck!
Great video and amazing achievement! I’m curious as to what routes you both took and how you found navigating? I’m thinking of attempting this solo in a couple of weeks (never done anything like it, so probably a little mad!) and it’s the navigating up/down the mountains I’m most worried about. Awesome time too, 21:17 is an incredible feat!
Thanks Paul! Yeah i 100% recommend doing it, it was honestly so much fun, if you are doing the mountains at normal times then you wont need to navigate much because there will be a stream of endless people, so super easy to navigate, for snowdown we took the pig track on the way up and miners track on the way down, and for ben nevis we took the tourist route, not sure what the route was called for scafell pike
Great achievement fellas, looking to try it in the summer, based in liverpool so would the same order be best do you think? Would a guide and travel be best if planning a solo adventure also, or do the driving solo with climbing, just after a bit of advice
Hi Chris, sorry on the later reply but id 100% reccomend doing it in the order we done it because it will all be done in sunlight, which is also much more motivating than the dark. Also id do it with a group of people, but if you are you want to do it with people with your own level of fitness, because there is nothing worse than waiting on stragglers while you are trying to do it in 24hrs, or just find someone who can take you in the car, i think driving and climbing would be very difficult as you would be very tired
Well done! I'm wanting to run this route so looking for inspiration and this certainly gave me it! How did you find the drives inbetween? I heard your step dad drove? Nice recovery. How was the spa!
Oh wow! That would be amazing, and well i slept between nevis and scafell pike, but the hard part was warming my legs back up after the long drive, but after 5 mins they were warm again, and awww it was amazing! Was so relaxing!
What month was this? I am looking to do ben nevis next year 👍got snowdon and scafell under my belt as well as welsh three peaks. Scafell by far the most challenging yet! Found it relentless but I did do it on a very hot day!🥵good effort anyway man! 👏🏻respect!
Really well laid out thank you. I did wonder, does the 24 hours cut off at the last peak or when you get back to the last starting point 🤔 I’m guessing you can push on a bit on the drive through the night? 🙂
Hi! Thank you! And the time is meant to be when you reach the car park at the final peak, but if your struggling for time you can just say it is the top of the last one lol! And yeah exactly! I had drivers tho so it was much easier
Yeah i slept in the car between the first two! As stand alone mountains, ben nevis is hardest, but i found snowdon the hardest because of how tired i was
Thanks Matt, and i have been doing munros for the last few months now and that has really improved my fitness and also helped my joints etc recover faster
@@mattblyth7979 its my stage name now😂😂 and yeah i would do them all in the daylight, i think that helped, and try and get someone to drive you, if thats not possible then drink lots of coffee or energy drinks😂 we met a lot of people doing the challenge who were driving also and they were all nackered by the end of it
@@jeanzi72 thanks Jeanie! Really appreciating you watching all my videos :) thankyou! And yeah i think snowdown was my favourite! Was honestly gorgeous
