Three Russian warships have now arrived in the South American nation of Venezuela. Experts say it is a way for Russian President Vladimir Putin to show his military might in America's backyard.
Venezuela is ruled by Nicolás Maduro, who's often described as a dictator after being in power for more than 10 years. He's also an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
With Venezuela’s election right around the corner, the move by Russia comes at a crucial time and could have ripple effects throughout the hemisphere.
