I subscribbled. Been thinking about protein engineering for breakdown of PFAS. Do you think proteins can muster enough energy to break down into something like co2 and fluorine or CH2F2? What kind of cofactors would be good for this? Im thinking metal ligands like Mn or Ni. What would some of the characteristics of such a protein need to be? Binding pocket for the hydrophilic head then exert a force on the carbon fluorine tails using hydrophobic residues? Anyone got any ideas?

Very nice work. The data is now growing so quickly you should continue with weekly uppdates. The most important topic for the past 100 years and so little focus.
