Todd and his mother-in-law start working on their display in March every year to win this coveted competition. Subscribe for more great clips: / @tlctvuk
I lived near candy cane lane of the great christmas light fights and they have people out front that are dressed like elves and reindeer and stuff that take collections to make sure they can pay .
Pendragon- over the top displays, esp the flashy strobe-y kind, make me feel frazzled and stressed, not peaceful. I feel bad for the neighbors of these people that go all-out. It must be overbearing at times if the displays are loud in addition to being flashy.
"It's too busy, it looks like he emptied his garbage out on his lawn." - Fixed When hoarding becomes part of your ego. Look up the National Enquirer Christmas tree in Lantana to see how it is done. These guys are the Bum Fights of competition. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CGSM2qCQXDo.html
Nice video, it also takes a lot of planning, you want keep everything in balance. We all love Christmas light, it adds a very special look to the homes.
today on my strange addiction, hoarding christmas lights and decorations, u know how funny it would be if someone grinched all his shat when he went out (took all his decorations and lights)
Uh oh, competition in the neighborhood. I love the complicated light displays, you just have to be prepared for the extra cost. Nothing wrong with a little healthy, constructive competition. Sweet, Congratulations! Keep your wife happy - its key.
My wife and I found a house with incredible lights, a train and a ski lift quite by accident about 10 years ago in Boulder City, Nevada. We used to pass through there and stay overnight when driving from eastern California to the Phoenix, AZ area at Christmas. I spoke to the homeowner and he said he started each year about October 1st and didn't have everything down until about mid March. I live in snow country, with an average of 208" per year so I lose all my outdoor Christmas lights about every 5 years when snow and icicles freeze the lights so they can't be taken down. The ice then moves and breaks up the strings of lights. I have a north facing roof and that makes it harder. Some people with south facing roofs have less of a problem, but they lose stuff from time to time. We found a better route to Phoenix a few years later after trying every possible combination and don't go that way anymore. I wonder if this Boulder City homeowner is still decorating his house so well.
I am not saying they forced the kids to help. I just hate when parents want to be extra like this and force their kids to help. Like if you want all those lights then you do it!
I once met a woman that said she used to criticize her sister-in-law because they put kids to do stuff. Fast forward 20 years later she says her own children are “holgazanes” and the other person’s children are “bien trabajadores”.
i think this guy was a moth in his past life. Im also getting dateline vibes too. "He was a 3 time Christmas light winning decorator... then one day when his mother in law didn't show up to help... no one suspected because they seemed like a picture perfect family."
LOL, now I understand why Todd and his mother-in-law work on that display, was totally mind blown when the lights went on and I don't even celebrate Christmas.
That candy cane entry was pretty weak sauce. An inflatable Santa pretty much mandatory to get in the club. A Grinch always bonus points. Wife very impressed with cleverness in design always a good sign. Momma ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy. The glow in the dark snow ⛄️ man sweater a showstopper!
Invasion of Christmas lights..help husband set up lights every year.. Christmas.. required..no matter what! all women..the brothers Grimm..🧙❄️🏘️⛏️💙🚀💜🧪🦛🧬🙈1975-2020...🧙❄️🧬🦛🍭
The Christmas Lights show in a neighborhood in Rancho Cucamonga is much less gaudy and more beautiful. Plus it's a whole neighborhood. Highly recommend.
All these people who say to much their wrong I’m like tod and his family I have a huge display like them and you half to show your Christmas spirt god said let your light shine brightly and it is a great year round hobby
