What makes this song amazing is how it’s as heavy as it gets without being dark or disturbing. “Tell me are you free.” All the metal songs out there really start to sound stupid and cheesy when they all try to write dark and twisted lyrics. This song shows how you can sing about something bright, honest, revealing, freeing, and meaningful and still be as hard as it gets. This song is harder than any stupid dark metal song that tries to write disturbing, twisted lyrics.

Fantastic tune and so relevant today as is a lot of Thrices material. Unfortunately, their best iterations were produced years ago and now, like many bands, are quite irrelevant. Proof that they’re towing the line for the Big Music corporations. So sad.
