One of their best songs. I love how Thrice grew and changed over the years but I'll never get tired of the lyrics and raw explosive energy of this song

It was the summer of 2003. A co-worker of mine was like “dude, you need to listen to this!” He popped this in my car stereo and blew the shit out of my speakers with this album. I was fan of Thrice from that moment on. Lots of good memories with Thrice.

Prescient. Holy shite. I’ve always found this entire album to be an artistic unity of music and meaning.

At 1:54 when that riff kicks in I get so pumped. And then when he starts off with that THEEEEE I get chills almost every time. Sickest ending to a song And album of all time for me.

Great song. Poetically illustrates the ideas of a great philosophy book.

Wake up everyone It's not too late To save the remnants of Our hearts stop giving up Our last shattered love Our only chance to find the meaning of The beat beneath the blood We laugh at honor and are shocked when We find knives in our backs We follow those who cheat and steal Look in my eyes You won't your way back Our only cup is smashed under our own heels Reason abandoned To appetites and addicts' arms Shotguns in silence Have always been the best arms Wake up everyone It's not too late To save the remnants of Out hearts Stop giving up Our last shot at love Our only chance to find the meaning of The beat beneath the blood We laugh at honor and are shocked when We find knives in our backs We follow those who cheat and steal Look in my eyes You won't your way back Our only cup is smashed under our own heels The abolition of man is within the reach of science But are we so far gone That we'll try it?

By the time I had reached this song in Booth Plaza, I began realizing how close I was to the end of my performance and the crowds began growing again; The newest players wanted to wait to hear the last of my performance and get introduced to a brand new band that they would most likely grow to love. I was slumped over in my chair, with a muffin I’d gotten on break but I still made sure to finish the performance
