This song is soo massively underrated, and this song is probably my favourite thrice song. Strangely uplifting and Dustin does an amazing job of translating the mythic Greek tragedy into something relatable to life with key moments. So many people dont quite get the true meaning behind the cautionary tale of Icarus, Dustin does a great job of pushing the hidden message. "How will i know limits from lies, if i never try!" its a message everyone should take to heart and strive to achieve more than you think you can every day! Thank you Dustin and thank you Thrice!

I'm here because of a mythology podcast and gotta say the storyteller has a really good music taste

This record was my introduction to Thrice, so it holds a special place in my heart, but honestly all their records are awesome in their own way.

The whole album is great

Every song on this album is excellent but the lyrics for this particular one are legendary.

Thrice is the best

Favorite song off this album it just is amazingly composed. Artist in the Ambulance is by far my favorite album of Thrice's. Their new stuff is pretty good but just does not have the same heaviness/impact of this album/Identity Crisis.

Just found this song from my mythology class its about Icarus , Daedalus son who didnt heed his fathers warning to not fly to close to the sun when escaping Minos and his wings made of wax melted and he fell into the sea and drowned.

The lyrics tell the story of Icarus.

At this time the only thing keeping me awake was the sunlight and a hydroflask full of soda. Halfway through the song I have this guy come in and say “I DON’T FUCKING CARE ABOUT THE MELTING POINT OF WAX, I ONLY CARE ABOUT HOW THIS WILL AFFECT LEBRON’S LEGACY” That sentence made me giggle for a few moments
