Totally doable and my style!! Yes! Thanks! And it is great that you showed the "mistake" and how you fixed it. Yes, I would want that quality too! Thank you
Nice transformation but we don't call the men's shirt used in this demo a polo shirt. A typical polo shirt is a short-sleeve pull-over knit or cotton piqué shirt with three buttons at the neck. But again, nice transformation and clever idea for those with sewing skills.
She’s right. This is a button up or buttoned shirt. At least in my world. This would be a good way to use all of the dress shirts hanging in my husband’s closet since he retired.
@@buonafortuna8698 You may be correct, and perhaps from your perspective it seems unnecessary to state what people in my region call a polo shirt, but from my perspective the video title sets the expectation that what we will see is the transformation of a men's polo shirt, yet the video is about the transformation of a men's button down shirt.
@@veme179 I stand corrected, actually in the Philippines I call it long sleeves polo shirt...and a polo shirt is the one that looks like a t shirt but with collar.. The other one is short sleeves polo shirt😂😂
@@buonafortuna8698 Cool....that's interesting. It would be fun to learn the words and names people from different parts of the world use to identify all kinds of common clothing items. Maybe that would be be a good topic for a video. 😊
I love, love, love this. I am going to try this with French seams.(no serger and it's time consuming to overlock with my domestic). I've been looking for a good quality upcycle for my button-downs.
🧵 This is a really intelligent way of using the extra fabric in men’s shirts around the armholes and sleeves to best advantage and turning it into a women’s garment that just does not look upcycled. Well done and thanks for the video. Best wishes from a Granny in Scotland 🥰
I love this idea! I am making one for me from my deceased boyfriend's shirts. Please tell me the measurements to use when cutting the corners for the front back and sleeves. See 8:40 into the video. Thanks in advance!
Love this!! Definitely something I will do for me and know of a couple of friends who would love to receive for Christmas! Great transformation. Thank you!
I love this! It's hard for me to find dress shirts that fit right because of the big difference between my true waist and bust line (if they fit my bust, I'm swimming in them). I'm about to go through my closet and try this a couple of times. lol Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
You are a person that really needs your things custom fitted. Buying off the rack doesn't work for everyone. With pants, it's very common. (but people don't do it, they just wear ill-fitting stuff all the time).
Lots of work for sure. Would have liked to see the sleeves puffier and less snug at the elasticized part as this would have given the new blouse more pizazz, IMO. But, looks nice as is as well.
