XO Sharon, I think this is one of the best videos I have watched in a while. I have been working long hours and not feeling well many days after work I eat and go to bed. After a full weekend of rain and working in a windowless warehouse today I was determined to leave work, grab a slice of pizza and an ice tea at a cool cafe near my home and go to a park. While drinking my ice tea in a bottle I was thinking how cool this bottle is and I was thinking later of using my Goo Gone to remove the label. I was thinking the neck would be cool wrapped in twine and two tails left with little shells tied on the end that I picked up in Sanabel my last trip with my Mom. I love all your creations but I have to say my favorite was the tool box. You have inspired me so much tonight but I actually got weapy. In my linen closet is my Mom's shoe shining box. It's a olive green with a nice handle. In the 60s thru the 1970 s my Mom asked my sister and I to bring our Sunday shoes to her and she polished our shoes and then she did her own. My Mom's box is metal. My Dad's box was wood with a slanted piece of wood on top for my brother's feet and my Dad's to polish while wearing the shoes. As an adult my Mom only did her's as is kids were on our own. In my Mom's box are different shining cloths, brushes for suede, different polishes. My Mom passed away in 2021 from cancer. She never had colds, never had the flu, never had headaches. She walked a mile every other day. She and I were the queen of yard sales going to them and having our own. We did flee markets for years selling and buying. I was hoping to buy her house and. She loved the way I decorated the porch the last 2 years and I relandscape one area of her yard but, trying to buy her house I kept running into road blocks. I packed up her entire house on my own and my brother didn't want anything and my sister didn't want a lot. I am a sentimental fool asy Mom had lots of things dating back to her child hood. The huge ice carriers made out of heavy duty metal and I have the flag that flew over my great grandmother's house when Roosevelt became the president. I have my great grandmother's watering can. I have a cool flower pot my Mom kept her clothespins in. I have an idea for that flower pot. I didn't mean to write a novel but Sharon tonight that shoe box is coming out of the closet and on my very large serving window one end is my Mom's violin from when she was a teen. I already have many mini bird houses around and diff birds. I think the box may be for the birds and maybe a few butterflies. My foyer looks like a flower mart and a butterfly oasis. I shop my stash a lot. I have never had a lot of money. I try to be creative and I think God honors that. My home is super tiny but I have many blessings. Love, Rebekah in VA
Hello, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother. I hope you got your shoe box done and I am sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you for inspiring me to!
I also am a sappy daughter who lost her mom last year. I understand how honoring their possessions (even silly ones in my case) keep them in our hearts! Your house sounds like a wonderful expression of you and your Mom!
LOVE the suede bag! It looks great hanging on those curtains. The white part of the toolbox… you surprised me with that. I totally was expecting you to crackle the paint or stamp crackle. Looks great! My Daddy was a diesel mechanic for 30 years then started farming the family land with my uncle (brothers). He has some toolboxes in all different sizes. Some rusty crusty and some still very old but still have paint on them (mostly). I want to do that too, have some on the porch and the huge toolbox that fit on the back of his truck… I want to seal it with something really durable for outside (any suggestions) and put flowers in it or herbs or fairy garden etc.. I don’t know but I have lots of his old tools, tractor parts, blades, VERY antique tilling blades that just pulled behind the tractor that have 2 wide thick rims (I want to use the frame with some old wood and make a bench), his old lunch box. Lots of things! Girl, you would have a hay day going through all his stuff! I look at it and think about you and all your dark and moody or whimsical projects. My stash I inherited (only child), would keep you going a very long time. I wish you lived closer, we could craft together going through it all. If you ever want a getaway in the middle of nowhere look me up! We could craft and drink coffee on the porch swing. Love your XO tic tac toe board!🙂👏👍
Wow, sounds like you have some amazing Junk!. I would definitely spray the outside items with either one of these. One is a gloss coat and one is a matte coat. Thank you so much for your comment! amzn.to/3QYYcHS amzn.to/3WXfg4K
Loved the video. My favorite was the last project the tic to board and pieces. Who else looks at a piece of rounded wood and sees a tic tac to board?? 💞
I still have my little fringy pocket book my grandparents got me way back in the 70's! We live about 20 min from Cherokee NC and back in the day it was the place to go ! I just saw it in my stuff a couple days ago and thought I hate it just sits here in a box ... my girls played with it too .. such a great idea to keep ..keepsakes out
Wow that is awesome, I wish I had half of my childhood items. Yes, you should get that out and use it as decor for sure! Thank you for the comment and watching!
XO I've been crushing on greens forever now. I love it. You've provided me so many ideas, too. I guess I'm crushing on you, too. Lol Thank you again for sharing all the things! ❤
Sharon ❤ GIRL…. I always struggle to pick which is my favorite!!! I love the fringe bag for sure.. yes 80’s child..I love fringe jackets (buy truly vintage ones any time I see them) and leather!! I may have to create with them. I love the simplicity of the tic tac toe! May have to make that for me and my daughter to play. Might paint butterflies or different flowers on them for the X’s and O’s.. I just bought a old little cash box that actually still had the key taped to it. I have went back and forth on painting it. You definitely inspired me so much!! Hopefully between work and trying to finish getting my garden in, I can squeeze a few crafts in. Thank you so much my crafty sister! As always I look forward to your next video and excited to see you have posted!!! Hope you have a great week! 🥰
XOXO Of course I stayed till the end. I don't want to miss a second of your inspirational work! As always I love each of your creations. You never disappoint. I can't wait till your next video to see what you have in store for us. My daughter just bought a home with a pool. I'll be making her the tic tac toe game for her visitors to play while relaxing. Great idea. Take care and thanks for all you do for us and your channel😊
Hi Sharon!! XOXO! I love your videos. And that idea of painting jars all one color just different variations. I absolutely love that! I dig the handbag too as I love fringe! As usual, I enjoyed the video! Thanks Sharon, see ya next time! ❤️💜💚
Xo....another awesome video Miss Sharon. Thank you for all the hard work you put into making these project's and videos for us. Especially with having such a busy schedule x
Love everything, I can't pick a favorite!! The plant makers are really cute and I've been trying to figure out what to make with them as I have some in my stash. I've make plant markers with spoons, I designed labels in canva, using watercolor images and then the name of the plant over it and then clear sealed them on the spoon. Now I'm on the hunt for a tool box, love your display, oh, and the jars with all the plants in them were super cute too. Thanks for sharing Sharon, I always look forward to your videos. xoxo
Sharon you are so talented I loved all the projects you did today I specifically liked the tic tac I’m going to make one myself to play with my grandkids thank you for sharing your ideas ❤😊XO
XO....its a toss up of the tool box and the tic tac toe board. I was drooling!!! Lol the bag is definitely the 70s. I cant wait to see what you come up with next. Til your next video, have a great day and be safe ❤
I just love when i see your videos pop up 😁. These are so stinkin cute! Adore the fringe bag floral arrangement and of course the GREEN toolbox. The GREEN jars with succulants was another favorite. The lityle tart tins for plant markers is genius. Great ides for tic tac toe board. Your head must be busting with great ideas 😂
I have a vintage toolbox 🧰 in red. I'm trying to decide if I should paint it or leave it as it is and just seal in the rusty crusty red that everyone seems to like. And then maybe put a transfer on it. What are your thoughts?
Sharon I noticed that sometimes you have your paint in condiment containers. Two questions 1 does paint dry out? 2 can I put all in one paint in them? Like fusion paint
Thank you for the questions. Yes you can put anything in the bottles. I even have glue in one. I also have Fusion, Chalk Paint, Acrylic Paint, House Paint, Mod Podge etc.in those bottles. I have been slowly putting the things I use the most in the bottles. No nothing dries out, but sometimes I forget to put the caps on and the tips will clog from the paint drying, but I just use a large needle and poke through it. The rest of the paint is fine!
