They don't know what caused the obstruction. However, his urine was filled to lots of gunk, no stones or crystals though. I just pray that it doesn't happen again. I am happy to say that he is back home now and doing well. Yes, he does love me in his own way. Hugs.
I had NO IDEA about Louis! Will add him to my prayer list and you and his caregivers too! I had one male cat that had that problem and we made the decision to not put him through the surgery. He was our first cat as a married couple. I got him as a kitten from a fellow teacher. We named him Mr. Peepers because he peeped instead of meow! He loved water and would lay in the sink and let the water run softly on him! One of his most memorable characteristics was that he LOVED CANTALOUPE!! I couldn’t cut one that he didn’t come running and had to have his before we could have ours! That was one of the most difficult decisions we ever had to make with our many animals throughout our now 44 years of marriage!! 🙏🙏
Mr. Peepers sounds like he was quite a character. I know the decision you made was a very hard one. Sometimes I think euthanizing our animals is the ultimate show of love for them. I read about the surgery, and I pray I never have to make the decision as to whether or not Louis should have to have it. Louis is home and doing much better. He is getting back to his old self. She’s survived stage 4 metastatic breast cancer for over a year with immunotherapy. I just found out yesterday that her daughter was diagnosed, early, and had a lumpectomy 2 days ago. Don’t know her name, yet but will let you know when I do!! “Babs” is a wig reviewer and for 81 she looks 40!! Please look her up. I haven’t watched her latest update but I have a feeling that she may have progressed because she was off her meds to have dental work and that may not have gone well. She’s dealing with jaw pain now which she says is worse than the back pain that lead to her diagnosis. She and Denny just celebrated 50 years of marriage. A second for both of them! Just want to say,Joanne… just watched your video (now have subscribed )and learnt that Louis has been quite ill😂 and now being cared for at the Vet hospital….hadn’t seen where you told everyone about it initially 😱🙁….He is just always there in the haul videos…. and such a lovely character…So very sorry that he has been through so much pain…. and that you have also had to go through much worry and anxiety for him…your description of how it all happened… was awful 😱… Thankfully, your Vet practice was near by and he has had excellent and caring treatment there (bless all of those staff there 🙏🙏)… So relieved to hear that he is now stable… and that he was so glad and comforted to be with you when you visited him 🥲🥲❤…..I will most certainly be praying and asking the ‘Universe’ to give him strength and love..and help his recovery. You have good advice to know how to feed him in future… and the other cats too… to avoid this happening in future 👍🙏🤞🤞…. Thank you, Sue. I do have good news. Louis is home now and doing very well. He is on special food and anti-spasm medicine for the next several days for his bladder, but is so, so much better. Hugs.

I feed a little roadrunner who begs us when we leave home. He does not like to feed in our backyard where we have 2 bird feeders. So I feel like the little guy is my pet☺️ so of course I love the roadrunner. Please give poor Louis a extra lovings from me. I love animals hate to see them suffer. Praying for him so much. So glad he can get the help he needs.
I am so glad Louis is doing well. My cat Toby had that problem but unfortunately didn't respond to treatment. The special diet is so helpful. Good luck. Will be praying hard for you both. I had a male cat when I lived in Raleigh who was prone to cystitis. Vet said only special prescription food, and no fish flavored food or food with high ash content !

My favorite in this haul is the unique metal wreaths with sea shells. I also love the road runner, that brought back some great memories for me. I am so happy you were able to get Louis into an emergency care facility...especially one that seemed to know what was going on. Bless his heart, he has been through the wringer on this one. I think when he leaned into you and rested his head in your hand, he was thanking you for bringing him in to the hospital where they had made him feel better. As you already know, Margaret, our boy is back home and doing well. He may have thanked me before, but he is getting back at me now. He is feeling better and getting back to his old self. Me too. I have been to this ER vet on several occasions and have been very pleased with the care and service that they provide. I knew exactly were to take Louis which was very helpful. I knew he would be in great hands. Hugs.
So sorry to here about Louis glad you caught it in time. Hopefully he can come home tomorrow. I was at the emergency room saturday with my cat too! She was v omiting and couldnt even keep water down. They tole me they were extremely busy and would be 6 to 7 hours! Told me to leave cat there and they would call me to come back. They ran tests. And could find nothing wrong...her fever was down but they saw her belly was still sore. They figured she either had the flu or gastritis. They told me they saw 5 cats and 7 dogs today with same symptoms I finally took her home, with special canned food they gave her a shot for nausea she getting little better every day but boy she was mad at me ignored me for at least 12 hours until I woke up this am with her curled on pillow next to me😊 give Louis lots of love from me and Lovee (who says glad hes better MEOUWWWW

Oh I'm so glad Lewis is doing better. I just said a prayer for him, and for you. They really are family. I'm watching 2 of mine sleep right now. My Bella I've had for 12 years, she was a rescue from the highway. Rusty has been with us almost a year. They are so funny, and a lot of company. I sure pray Louis is on the mend. My favorite has to be that dress. It's beautiful, and I hope someone is able to wear it to prom. So beautiful. Thanks for the video dear lady.

I think the sunglasses might be Bakelite. If you rub it and get a sulfur smell they probably are. My fave is the peacock feather wreath. So sorry to hear about Louis but glad he’s getting better. Sending prayers your way.
