This video is a little of this and a little of that! Is it too early to start making Christmas gifts? LOL! Do you do homemade gifts?

Love seeing the Franciscan dishes. When I got married in 1975 I registered for this dinnerware instead of fine China, which I knew I would probably never use. I still have the full set and still use it. And if you ever want to sell the sail boat painting, I would buy it in a second. My husband loves to sail and I know he would love it. Love you channel.

Hi Christine - I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and the channel! How smart of you to register for everyday dishes instead of fine china! I just love that Franciscan earthenware! I will keep you mind if I ever decide to downsize the painting! LOL

Loved all your thrift and antique finds! I love the painting too! I collect amateur art and I never pass up a visit to the frames or art section. My mom had an antique store when I was a child. I still have some very small paintings that I got at her store and my collection has continued to grow!

Oh my goodness! Paula, that original oil painting is so gorgeous! I love the little girl reading bookend.She looks like she's from the 1930's. Making homemade vanilla is a wonderful idea for Christmas gifts. Your cozy videos cheer me up! I have made vanilla in the past, and maybe I need to do it again! I love how you styled your treasures. You have so many lovely things! The carrot ginger soup sounds delicious!

Hi Paula, thank you for sharing your Wonderful finds with us! You Really have a Great eye for spying Amazing items. I Love that you purchased that Beautiful tapestry, and it looks Great with the Lovely lamps. I also Love the Sweet painting, it looks So Soothing. That was Super Sweet of the Lady who contacted you concerning the Amazing tin. You mentioned that you Love a good story, well now you have added to the story of the tin, and how it has become your little treasure. 😊 WOW, the bookend is Adorable, and she looks right at home, styled with your book collection. Paula, I have to say that my favorite of your finds is the Kitchen Prayer Trivet. I have that Exact same Kitchen Prayer that belonged to My Granny. The only difference is that my piece is a small ceramic wall hanging. I Absolutely Love seeing that little ceramic piece in our kitchen, it makes me smile as I think of My Granny. 🥰 Paula, you mentioned that you are Not a Minimalist, well join the club. I am Not a Minimalist either, and I Love It that way. 😁 Oh, the soup looks Yummy, Thank You for sharing the recipe, and the Great idea for making the Vanilla Extract as well. I Really Enjoy looking at your Relatively Re-finds Segment, and Marianne's finds are Gorgeous! Paula, thank you again to You and your Sisters for sharing, encouraging, and inspiring So Many of us. Sincerely, Paula in Indianapolis *Before I forget, have a Wonderful Summer Vacation. I TRULY understand the Excitement that this time of the year can bring to many. With that being said, I am beginning a new chapter in my life...this is my Very first Summer as a Retired Teacher! I was Blessed to have taught children in Kindergarten through Second Grade for the past 30 years, I am Super Grateful to have been given that opportunity. Paula, again... have a Wonderful and Relaxing Vacation. 😊

Paula congratulations on your retirement!! I am so happy for you! I know that you touched many children’s lives throughout your career. Teaching is a calling - I come from a family of teachers. Both my mother and father were teachers as are my two sisters and me! 🥰. Enjoy your retirement! It is well deserved!!❤️

@@relativelyrefined Thank You for your Kindness, and I Totally agree with you that "Teaching is a calling." Paula, I have Truly been Blessed to work with Amazing children, families, co-workers, and administrators during my time as a teacher. I must say that my heart has Always been to do my Best to encourage, guide, and pour into each child, that I was Blessed to meet. As I look over my years as a Teacher, it has Always been So heartwarming, to see glimpses of the Amazing individuals that the children were as they continued to grow into All that they were created to become in life. It has also been So lifechanging for me to hear, Precious words shared by former students and families concerning our times together. Paula, I will continue to carry within my heart their Sweet words and faces. The Sweet words and Kindness that they shared with me, helped to confirm for me, that I had done what I was Created to do, while I was given my time to work with them. It's Amazing how I too have been touched by them as well. I will Always be Grateful and Honored, for the Blessing and the Calling of being a Teacher. Paula, coming from a Family of Teachers, and being a Teacher yourself, I am Sure that You Know, First hand my sentiments concerning this. That being said, Paula, Thank You again for your Kindness. I Truly Appreciate You and your thoughtfulness. 😊 Please have a Wonderfully Relaxing Summer Vacation to You, your Sisters, and to All others who will be able to Enjoy some time to unwind. 🌞 Sincerely, Paula from Indianapolis

Great finds Paula. I love that little trivet...like you I remember those from growing up. Great idea to start Christmas gifts now, it cuts down on the busyness in December if you have thoughtful gifts at the ready. And those dish towels will be perfect for fall. I would have picked up that single bookend as well. It is precious. I always enjoy seeing the styling ideas as well. Mary's Murano glass stacked together is certainly a beautiful art piece. Thanks for sharing!!

Vanilla extract in one of those things you really have to do in advance! That is exactly why I decided to do this video now - so that anyone wanting to make it would have time to do it and have it ready for Christmas gifts. So glad you enjoyed the video! Let me know if you make the soup.

Loved the vanilla extract idea for gifts, although I'm not sure I'm ready to think of Christmas. All your finds were so fun, I love getting something and knowing its story like your tin box. I recently received 2 small framed prints and decided to layer by setting on a table with some of my other treasures. I know at some point i will have to retire pieces but for now I'm trying to be creative so i can enjoy them all.
@relativelyrefined

Hi Darlene - I am totally a fan of layering and enjoying all the pretty things! I definitely am not ready for Christmas, but I decided last year that I wanted to make the extract so I wrote a reminder on my May calendar to start it so it would be ready for Christmas gifts! Otherwise I would think about it in November and it would be too late! LOL

That's funny - I thought you said you were making Christmas gifts!!! LOL - great planning, Paula. I do love the single bookend. She is beautiful and don't you just wonder what her history is? What home did she live in? What books did she hold up for someone? The oil painting is just awesome - what a super find! I have recently found/collected some beautiful watercolors that really make me happy :) Mary Ann, your Murano glass is stunning and so different- what a special collection.

Every year I think that I’m going to be super organized for Christmas but somehow it almost never happens LOL.
