The economy is bad and I think everyone is feeling it, just hang in there. You’ve had some tough times but kicking it girl! Whatever you do is authentic and enough! Love your videos!
I do QUALITY over quantity and get top return. But then again I do not live off of reselling but what I do get is makes it so worth doing quality. You can even do a lot of only QUALITY high return finds if you do it for a living and do just as well as quantity at lower resell margins. Your best income potential here is your content vids, keep it up. 👍
Does it ever cross resellers minds that the reason why the prices are higher at second hand stores is BECAUSE of reselling. These places are now over pricing things to try and limit the amount of people with carts full of shit to overprice online 🤷🏽♀️. Not saying this is you but…just saying in general
This is not true. I believe prices are going up just like everything else, inflation. If you want to point the finger at resellers, what about the people that shop just to shop? Some purchase way more than I do. Trust me, the thrift store doesn’t care what you do with the clothes once you purchase.
tell me you don't go to the thrift store without telling me you don't go to the thrift store... this is suuuuch a misconception.. there are PLENTY of clothes to go around, the price increases is due to corporate greed and inflation, not regular people purchasing their stuff (that they get for totally free from donations, aka they do not need to be raising their prices whatsoever but they still do because they're greedy)
Have you ever been to a thrift store? There’s literally a warehouse in the back of Salvation Army full of palates packed to the ceiling with clothes that are about to be thrown away or sent overseas…there’s no shortage of clothing and so much of it STILL ends up in the landfill. Not to mention that thrift stores in general are just big reselling shops in which clothes are donated for free and they mark it up to turn a profit. Resellers buy maybe just 5% of all the used clothing out there. And better than filling up landfills and going to waste.
I have the same mindset about selling now, I feel the same way. I am only getting quality over quantity bc of EVERYTHING you said lol I couldn’t relate more! I have a few leather jackets just sitting and it’s made me hesitant to source anymore. Idk maybe I’ll take new pics but I felt like maybe Depop is saturated with them bc ppl are selling them so cheap now too🫤
