Yes girl. I'm 60 and have thrifted since I was in HIGH SCHOOL ever where I have lived.

I don't think thrifting is for one ethnic group. I have been thrifting with my best friend for the last 35years that includes high school. When I am thrifting I see every color and nationality all looking for their families. In my area, the Hispanic population dominates the thrift stores. However, there are immigrants from war zones, Russia, India and Pakistan all over the world that are here just trying to survive, learning about our language, culture what we see is the correct behavior... so much I will state right now with a 2 year degree I could not see myself trying to learn a new language, culture and new area to live in. These people have my respect. My best friend is black and I am white. We went everywhere together when we were in 4th grade even though in the early 80's in the south we were looked at with contempt by others in stores as well as in school. Our mothers were best friends. My mom is white and when she married my Dad who is a native Hawaiian her family teased her and called my brother and myself such racist names. We learned about racism from the cradle. Funny thing is my brother and I have fair skin dark blonde hair and blue eyes and yet we were still were singled out. So please don't make thrifting about race. You never know who you will hurt. I know that my comment might spark some awful comments. Please let's not do that there is already too many mean people who spark controversy. If anyone wants to respond to my comment please be respectful.

Corina Bizzell I know I’m a bit late a year, not a bit but I don’t necessarily think they were trying to exclude any other race or nationality out just for many Black people and other minority groups in America we didn’t have a lot of money growing up so most black people or people of color had to go thrift I know personally I went thrifting for my whole entire life I mean I can shop at normal stores but I really cater to drifting more bc that's how I grew up that's what we most black people did.

I have found leather, real fur, faux fur, real tweed, silk, etc. and yes great stuff in the MEN'SWEAR SECTION!
