First, love your channel! Been binge-watching your channel to get ideas to help upgrade my sister's and my room. Secondly, I actually work at Goodwill (one of my three jobs because college is expensive!!!!) and the majority of California Goodwill follow the same sale rules. Color of the week changes every Saturday and lasts till the following friday. Color of the week is different for every Goodwill so call ahead. Whatever the color of the week, that color tag is 50% off for all days except thursday (applies to all except furniture, furniture for the week's color will be a dollar.) Sunday - No special sale, color of the week tag is only 50% off Monday - Veteran sale (all veterans get 15% off) Tuesday - Senior sale (senior's get 15% off) Wednesday - Donor sale (if you drop off donations on Wednesday, we will give you a donation coupon that can only be used on Wednesdays for 15%. Note: these coupons are first come, we only carry a limit amount and these coupons can be used only once.) Thursday - Whatever the color of the week is, on thursday only, that color tag will be sold for $1!!! Big savings! Also the busiest day because people line up at larger goodwills so come early as possible! Friday - No special sale, color of the week tag returns to being only 50% off. Saturdays - New color of the week SPECIAL NOTE: Certain Goodwills have a double-dip thursday, what this mean is an additional color tag will be on sale for $1! This is very random to the point even the employees and managers aren't notified till we open. This tends to happen once a month or once every two months so again, call ahead!

Have you ever went to the rich neighborhoods there? Where I am you can go the day before trash day (Thursday) and, get gently used furniture. No dumpster diving just curb shopping. I used to do it every week when I was a teenager to get furniture to flip for lots of money actually. About $400-$500 a week.
