Started watching the last vid and realized I missed the lamp vid! I feel like they may have inflated prices for that 1/2 off sale. Good picks, as always! 💕
I love watching your 'thrifting' videos and I'm always amazed at how big the 'thrift' stores are - we have small charity shops in the UK that are generally based on the High Street and each shop is specific to a charity such as Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation, Age UK, Oxfam, RSPCA or maybe a local hospice. So when you buy the money spent goes to that specific charity, the shops are manned by volunteers with the exception that perhaps the manager is in paid employment. So I am curious, are 'thrift' shops raising money for charity via donated goods? I shop in charity shops to help a good cause and to buy secondhand clothes and household goods to help the planet. I've been buying in charity shops for over 25 years (before it became a trendy thing) and I love getting good secondhand clothes from brands like Marks and Spencer, Next, Monsoon for a fraction of the price, when I'm bored of them, I donate them back and buy some other things - same for housewares and festive decorations - so much better for the planet and my finances and helping good causes who need the money. I find your videos very informative and relaxing - thank you 😊
Thanks so much! Some of the thrift stores are for charity. Value Village isn’t really a charity shop. I too have been going to thrift stores since I was very young child. Back then it was out of necessity, but I still prefer to buy thrifted items for myself, for the same reasons as yourself 😊
