I’m was looking forward to the soft opening, but couldn’t make it due to a last minute work project! Thanks for posting! I hope to make over there soon.
Aw sorry you missed it! It was busier than I expected! It will probably be a completely new store when you visit, stuff is going to be turning over like crazy 😁👍
I heard about this new Savers grand opening & was so excited to see you trying it out for the first time! Would love to see more videos from this location. I live about an hour away so I will definitely have to make a stop there. You bring such pure happiness to the gems you find. Thank you!!❤️
New subscriber here! I love looking at the thrifted purses. I have never seen purses display like that before! I want to try to recreate that in my home!
Oh my gosh that means there is a new one in my town too!!! Ack!! I've been wondering what was going to go into that location!!!! Can't wait to hit it!!
Accessories!! I will actually drive to mine to just jump through accessories from time to time since they have so many cool vintage accessories. Shoes and scarves are always have a few awesome finds. Be sure to check those wheeled out racks asap. Always leave with several items off those too.
Great tips! I will definitely be back for more accessories. It was so lovely to shop that freshly merchandised bag section with everything still so neat and organized 🤤 haha
That Saver was popping! My favorites were the 70's short sleeve dagger top with the zipper and the cute Dooney and Burke purse. Great finds as always. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your husband. See you next week.
I love the dark floral button down midi & maxi skirts too. I will wear them in the fall in winter with black velvet leggings underneath and push the buttons to one side and unbutton them fairly high to get that high thigh slit effect but with everything still covered b/c of the leggings. I think it's a pretty sexy, cool look.
That leather shouldered jacket is dope and definitely worth $18! I am glad I don't have a Savers near me bc I find the pricing to be generally very wack...but, like you said, sometimes you can score. Here's to future scores for you!
It's great to have a big thrift store nearby that that has a large selection, like you know you can probably find almost anything you're looking for 😁👍
"But it´s wool" - I would never have thought I´d hear someone say that in a way that it sounds like a negative thing. I just LOVE wool and it´s of course better and more expensive quality than artificial fibres. But yeah, if you are very sensitive to scratchy clothes, maybe then it really is a downside. I don´t know, I´m always thrilled the more wool there is in a sweater. Ohhh my, how I wish we had thrift stores like that over here. It would be so great to see clothes in the flesh so to speak and not only on vague photos on ebay etc., and you can try them on and you save the shipping costs. But there is no such thing where I live, I have to rely on ebay. I would at least like to shop on US ebay which is much better with vintage clothing, but shipping and taxes are incredibly expensive and often doubles the price of things.
Right? Idk if I prefer flat rate pricing though, I do love when i find something that is marked like below average price, but I also leave a lot of stuff that I feel is overpriced so I'm not sure what is really my preference 😅
I love savers! But yeah the prices are wildly varied 😅 so excited to see what you find there in the future!! This haul was good!! Does this one do half off everything on Mondays??
The Savers/Unique/Value Village/2nd Avenue thrift stores in the DC area have 25% off everything on Mondays and Thursdays; 30% off senior discount Tuesdays, and then they run other sales that they send out by text. But if you bring a donation then you get a coupon for 20% off (that's usually valid for like 3 months). And they have a points rewards system that also gives you 20% off (which is what I had that day).
@@NikkiTerryStyle oh that’s awesome! We have Mondays 50% off everything and then there’s a color that’s 25% off for each day of the week and there’s points in you’re a Super Savers Club Member.
Omg Amy it does!! I just saw your IG post of him with the paint brushes haha 🥰 I will save it for you for sure. It is like a size 2XL as you can tell. Soooo cute!
Dang, their prices are HIGH. Did they forget this is donated (free) second-hand inventory? Good stuff, though, but come on! Lots of good stuff, though. I'd love to spend a few hours in that store.
Hi, my name is Lori and I just come across your channel and I love it so I was wanting to check in with you and see if you’re looking for any wholesale shoppers? So I go out for a select amount of clients and I pick up the vibe they have right it’s not about the brand it’s about the vibe and I feel like that I could offer you a lot so if you’re interested, I’d love to talk to you. Haha when I'm filming in the moment sometimes I forget things or just second guess myself 🙈 but here I was actually questioning how the H was pronounced... I couldn't remember if it was like "CH" or "CK".
Going through those t-shirts too fast. I could barely see them. Could you slow down just a bit please? Some sweaters and blouses/shirts too expensive for a thrift store.
It’s annoying to hear a resaler complaining of high prices at the thrift stores your going to resale it at a higher price you purchased it and your complaining folks save yourself the money and go thrifting yourself instead of buying from resalers
Huh I really didn't think I was complaining about the prices... I did want to give an idea of the pricing because it is a new thrift store and that's the type of information my videos typically provide to other thrifters (that is frequently viewer requested). Viewers also have often asked for details about why i decide to purchase or leave items, and sometimes price point is a factor. And I do resell some vintage, but I have found that a lot of people like to shop with me because of my curation, styling & vintage knowledge, the time & effort I put in to sourcing. cleaning, and repairs, and the fact that they want to support my small business and creative works. (Almost any business is about purchasing items at a lower cost than what you sell it for. I simply purchase most of my inventory in a manner that also supports other small businesses and charitable works. Most people who shop with me also appreciate those aspects!) At the same time, ALL of my content highly encourages everyone to try thrifting themselves and gives tips on how one might do so 😅 so I also definitely want yall to shop secondhand first! It's true, you can save money, AND it is also a more sustainable way to shop. I do encourage shopping from trusted resellers because it also helps support small businesses and a circular economy; it's a great option for those who can't thrift what they want or need for any number of reasons. All that said, I love thrifting, I hope that comes through in my content, and I would never want to post unfair opinions about a thrift store that would discourage people from trying it for themselves! I still feel the pricing at Savers can be all over the place, but I did also say multiple times how much I was excited about the store and my finds and that I plan to return! My experience was overwhelmingly positive so i hate to hear that anyone thought I was complaining about it.
