I love the garden statue! I buy lots of Afghans from thrift stores and I wash on hot with tide and I dry in the dryer. I’ve never had one tear up. I’m kinda weird about clothes and bedding.
Love your channel, you are always so uplifting. Good advice on washing blankets etc.....when I buy used books, I put them in a plastic bag and leave them in the freezer for a week. This kills any silverfish. Silverfish libero hide in books and are VERY HARD to get rid of.

Thank you so much for taking us along! I love going thrifting with my mom and the thrift bug bit my 16 year old daughter so it’s become one of our favorite “girl day” things to do! I’m on crutches and haven’t been able to go since October. This just made me so happy to watch lol! It’s always crazy to me what people get rid of! I have a large collection of silver plated platters and I plan to do a big collage in my dining room. Sometimes, but not always. It is a heavy stoneware, much heavier than normal dishes. It also usually has a crackled look to it, but not always. It is one of those things you just know by looking at it enough if that makes sense😅 I’m not the best at identifying it her but have learned a lot in the past couple of years. The best thing is to study a piece and get a feel for it
@@lisam7511 Thise small round dishes Kayla picks up and turns over are made by that company…. You should watch “Scott’s old curiosity shop” he does videos on dishes and things that are from the 20’s and 30’s, he does others but those are his favorite. I love his channel too.
I mentioned some of them in the video and have taken the prices off… but I think the platters were 1.99, the stone figure was $3, and the rolling pin was 3. The hymnal was 1.50 ☺️ the big throw was 4.99❤️
