Yess! And on the chance when I do find cute clothes, most of the tops are cropped. I’m sorry but my fat is concentrated at the gut/belly, I want to hide it. It’s my major insecurity, please enough with the cropped. Props to the confident plus sized queens who can rock it but I’m not one.
i live in ga but sometimes i’ll go to fort payne alabama and it’s just off putting to me lol maybe because i live like five minutes from the alabama line and the people that live near me in alabama are all weirdos
@HEHR0. That clearly wasn't their point. Theyre basically making a profit out of things that were given for free to them. You know? Like it's almost as if the bottle was bought from the store it originally came from. Taking something they didn't make to sell and make a huge profit (bc they had no cost in making it). It absolutely does matter that they think this is acceptable. It's not.
@Kwadratura No, they are not. AND IT IS THAT DEEP. Maybe you still live in the 80s, but that is NOT what older women look like in 2024. Nor do they dress like that.
Cute plus size clothes rarely get donated because we have to hold on to them for dear life 😅 My mom works at a thrift store called value world. Their prices aren't all that thrifty lately!
As a thick girl I just want to remind everyone that sizes are BS and Sierra, you're just as likely to find something in the large section as the plus size section. I can fit into clothes ranging anywhere from medium to extra large. It largely depends on brand because each brand determines what measurements to use for each size. I got a T-shirt in men's medium that fits perfectly but I can't fit in some extra large women's tshirts
Gawd this is so true. I used to work in plus size ladies fashion retail. The same woman, in the same store, could fit several sizes. Especially in jeans. Depending on manufacturer, cut, material, etc. I used to tell my customers to not look at the size. Look at how it fits and feels and how you feel in it ❤❤
My sister who is plus sized used to HATE getting new clothes when we were younger, the style was very much grandma and I felt her pain I was a twig back then and got a lot of trendy clothes while she got floral and pattern designs 🥺 once she was able to pick her own clothes out my sister learned how to do her hair and style her clothes, literally giving Raven Baxter stylish and trendy! Making nothing into everything she truly is an icon to me!!!
You literally just described me and my sister. I was always plus size and could never ever find cute trendy clothes but since my sister was skinny she got all the cool clothes. It sucked sm. Now I dress like a Bratz girl. It's hard to style myself still cause I love clothes that cover my stomach sometimes but I'm able to make it work ! Hope you and your sister are doing great and rocking ur styles !!
I'm always quite fat and struggle fitting into normal clothes but and my sister is groggy but she doesn't even feel sorry for me so on are a good sister
I can never really find clothes that fit me at thrift stores so I decided to start buying patterns and things I like and using them to make other things that do fit me.
😂😂😂 Yep i call it "Grandma's drapes" because surely they Sound of Music nana's drapes (not the good ones either) and they want me to look like I'm about to sing " High on a hill was lonely goat herd"... 🎶 😂😂😂 because i dont know what else they think I'm going to do in these
Looking in the size below is really smart too because depending on the brand and if it’s an older / vintage piece it may run larger or baggier due to size shrinkage over the years. As well as just sometimes clothes being put in wrong spots
as someone who volunteers in a thrift store what is happening in the US $26!? Even our boutique items don't cost that much. I'm talking donated Tommy Hilfiger and Lois Vuitton pieces yikes...are you guys okay?
I’ve found that the legit charity stores still have more reasonable prices. I shop at a few local one off places run my local charities and their prices are way less than Goodwill.
I'm from the south and i freaking love to hear you talk. So many people on the internet have that influencer speech pattern/accent and its refreshing to hear someone with a more similar way of speaking.
As another plus size girlie, clothes makers have been doing this forever. My mother complained about it, I complain about it, & I see the youngest ladies also suffering from this. Consider investing in a few custom pieces, or learn to sew. That's what I did.
🥰😂 You always crack me up and honestly everything you are saying about Al is pretty true. Been living here my whole life (26) and true facts about those thrift prices. Like why? 👀
@@DIX227 that’s not true; you don’t get to say shit about my life, as you don’t know my life 😂 I literally am doing great, as and bs in all my classes and plenty of family and friends. Go ahead and assume miserable things
@@Peachy_PlaysRblx In a previous comment, your lack of sensitivity was evident, and from my perspective, it indicates a misunderstanding that l observed through your comments. Another person mentioned to you that the mere act of someone uttering falsehoods does not necessarily reflect their intellectual capacity based on a singular online interaction. It does not define their essence as a person. However, I must assert that you consistently engage in defamatory behavior towards everyone, so sad😢
@@DIX227 but I don’t…. People are rude for no reason and it’s not okay. How are my comments affecting you. You’re likely either sensitive or nosy because it had nothing to do with you 💀😭
That's the truth. I have a friend who lives in opshopped clothes only..and she is teeny tiny, and I think little cuties like that just have nooooo idea how truly awful the plus size thrift store haul is. Loved your little riff 🎵 come to the thrift store with meeee🎵
Your thrift stores are WILD with their prices. Ours prices all like clothing items the same (so all jeans $6, all dresses $5, all tops $4, etc.) unless they're brand new with tags or a super fancy brand and then they go on the "boutique" rack for a little more. Usually those prices are reasonable though. I found a Jessakae dress for $10 on the boutique rack a few months back.
I’m not a plus sized girly, quite the opposite actually but finding clothes is SO hard for me because I’m too big for the kids section but too small for the adults so I’m just stuck wearing oversized clothes that don’t look flattering on me at all 😭😭
I'm in Illinois and am a very plus sized, very old lady. I love you. You are interesting and adorable. Keep sharing your thoughts with us. I look forward to your posts every day.
Yea my thrift store with the most clothes separates by color and item type. So i have to literally dig for hours if i really wannt look. I just peek in and wonder off
That addidas sweat shirt was nice 👍 too! Lol some of these thrift stores be trippin with that inflation stuff Lbvs!! I love love 💕 love shop goodwill online too!
as a former plus size person, i alwayssss looked in the large section too!! u really do get lucky sometimes and find the “oversized” larges that have some cuter styles than the plus size section
Because thirfting had become a trend, so the prices went up knowing more people would buy stuff especially for the girls who resell that shit at a price 5x higher on their depop or whatever.
Come move to upstate ny!!!!! Lots of cows lots of cirnfields and lots if kittle cities. Also our thrift stores are much cheaper….. like that shein top would have been no more that three bucks
DEADASS LIKE GRANMOTHERS BUT GRANDMOTHER THRIFTY IS INNN GURL I think it’s a cute vintage aesthetic (image boots with a cute skirt and nice floral t idk)
I live like one town over!! You need to go to the thrift in jville next to factory connection! I literally cannot remember for the life of me what it’s called but me and my mom go all the time and find some cute things!!
I just love your energy grly wish I had a friend like you grly ( not trying to sound weird) just think you are a cool, the most kindest, hardworking, nonjudging , pretty inside and out..... And i hope u had fun rest of your afternoon 😎❤️👚🧥🌅
