You have a lot to manage, but you have such a good attitude about it and make something that's stressful, not so stressful and actually fun! You two make a great team! ❤
I have to admit I am a collector of old items. My middle cellar has much in it! Here in England we do have some very old items. I find them, keep them! Ornate evening bags from the Victorian era. Gloves, lacework, crockery, glassware…too much to relate. I have a full length highly carved framed mirror from the time of Napoleon. That stays in my bedroom. 👍👍👍💜
@@cynthiafisher9907 I did visit the “Antiques Roadshow” when it came to my city, and it was literally just across from my home. I took just two items that my husband would say were just clutter. An old ornate pottery jug with an underwater theme, the fish are stunning, all hand painted, the other item a highly carved rounded wooden urn with a lid. Inside was a copper tube that protected the wood. It was a tea urn with a very small inside as tea was so very expensive back in the era it was made. That was valued at £330 the jug at £240. So £570 for what my husband classes as “Clutter” he never said anything after this. I only grabbed these two items as they were in my lounge. Easy to get to. I did inform the guy valuing them that my middle cellar had lots of my finds. He wished to come to have a look but, we where going out so I had to say no. He gave me his business card. I never did get back to him.
@@avacadman2155 That’s so cool! My husband and I were able to go to the Antiques Roadshow when it came near us as well. He took a small glass vase of his sister’s that she got when she lived in Libya. It actually got on the show, it was from around the time of Christ and had been buried in the sand? It’s so crazy that something so fragile was intact for that long! I took some hand carved sugar molds from an ancestor who was a chef at a famous restaurant in New York in the 1800s, Delmonicos. They were only worth about $500. It was a fun experience, though. I’d like to see all your amazing antiques, the UK has so much more history than the US.
Hey ya'll. My name is Angel, and I am from the mountains of North Carolina. Gotta say I found your channel a few weeks ago and just wanted to let you know I enjoyed watching you. I ordered a few things earlier this week and saw it was shipped today. I can't wait till it gets here. I am so excited. I see Jami is a girl after my own Dr. Pepper lovin' heart. Does she think she will try the new coconut cream, Dr. Pepper, that's going to be coming out soon? I'm still on the fence about it. Maybe I will try one. I thought about sharing a couple of pictures, so maybe Zeb won't feel so bad about the pile in the garage. Mine is in my office. Lol. But I was too embarrassed. My plan is to work on it this weekend. Keep up the great work.
Zeb... You are going to recycle the wood RIGHT?🎉 The Habitat or the Re - Store might take it. Thank you so much 🎉😅❤ I always recycle everything I possibly can. It's for EARTH 😢😅🎉❤
Love the thrifting Videos and the added feature of the clean up part of the garage. Also three items up cycled and ready for sale. You guys are Awesome...
lol that’s the best cookbook EVER if anyone needs a good one. I got mine in 1982 for my wedding….still married and still using it! There’s a picture for every single recipe in the whole book
The frame came out nice as well as the other 3 projects! Love the quilted jacket, the linens , nice books .terrific job organizing all the tools , weekly haul & now you have room so miss Jamie won't get hurt ! Thanks for this trip to the bins ! Xox 💚
I love the old box you found in England. I’m going to visit my daughter in France in the fall and we are planning a trip to England, I hope I find some good treasures! I love how well you all work together and all of the great items you find.😊
My mom sewed me a quilted jacket when I was like 12…I think that it’s funny that they are coming back around! But doesn’t everything?? 😂😂 Also, I was at Home Goods, in their blanket area and they had Crochet blankets for sale, just like the old ones that you guys are picking up…I was like NO Way! $50 for a brand new one…those also are coming back around! Love your videos guys!
lol I just think we shop a lot here. And donating to thrift stores is more popular than yard sales. We resell lots of decor because that’s our business but anything else we don’t need we usually donate or give to someone that can use it.
Love all your videos! You always make my day! You found some whimsical floral linens! Thank you for sharing! The book you picked up, "Silas Marner", by George Elliot, is actually, Mary Ann Evans; George Elliot was her pen name! One of the leading authors of the Victorian era!
I still use my old cookery book I bought off of my milkman’s company in the early 70s. Even though I have now many cookbooks, I find myself going back to my old faithful..👍😃💜💜
Navel History. I live in Portsmouth in the UK. So we have much Navel History! We live right by the beach and there is always great ships coming in and out. 👍👍👍❤️
My washing machine has a prewadh cycle. So I just put it in the prewash cycle then I wash with a tide pod and I always do an extra rinse. Most of the time they come out. Sometimes I just make an oxiclean paste if it’s really stubborn and let it sit over night.
Yay! I work from home and took a break, and now I need to get back to it. I am looking forward to this later! [but the struggle to not watch now is real 😅].😊❤
I have that Swedish tin. We ordered it from Amazon in our search for authentic old fashion tasting ginger snaps. We were unsuccessful!😒 Your bins are so great, mine is much smaller. I really need to go early in the morning to see if selection is better.
