I like to negotiate, but try to be reasonable and polite about it. It's so exciting to strike a good deal! Antique houses are definitely not for everyone, but we love it!

@@WorthingtonHome negotiation is a business transaction and yes, keeping in mind to be reasonable. Like minded business person would think in the same page. I am glad that many people in the business of buying and selling are like this, and I also encountered such sellers in consignment stores, too. I hope you can keep your antique house forever. I was at the Whipple hse in Ipswich, Ma. A descendent went there with a friend and there was pride in her that she can still return home. That Whipple house has many colonial furniture's.

A friend of mine found similar fabric dating back to the turn of the century. Of course someone could always use old fabric in more modern times. It's a beautiful blanket! It just sold about an hour ago. It will be hard to part with it!
