That silver metal item is a tatting shuttle, I took a class once to learn it because my grandma used to make tatted lace but I was too old, my eyes just wouldn’t behave!

I believe that that one metal piece that you aren't sure about is a belt buckle. At least that's what it looks like to me! And yes... I have brought out my autumn decor and have started to put it up. Autumn is my favorite time of the year, so I like to make it last. Before we know it, Christmas will be upon us, and last year my husband wanted to decorate early, so I had to take down my precious autumn decorations. So, this year I am putting them up a bit earlier, even it is still 90 + degrees outside! I did a major seasonal purge and reorganization a couple of years ago, so I don' t have nearly as much stuff as I used to, and I stopped buying new stuff. I only buy something new/thrifted if I absolutely love it, and then I delete something to make room for it. I have learned that " Less is more."

Oh my word, I thrifted a gold trinket thingy with the glass top as well!!! 😂… I uses it to store my wedding ring and other keepsakes

The round wood base is the base for a glass cloche. I pick them up too cause I sometimes find those round glass cloches with no handles with no base.

That's a great store. I agree the furniture is outrageously priced. I don't decorate for fall until closer to October. It's still too hot where I live. ❤

It’s hot in August, September and up to mid-October where I live, so I usually wait to change things up until the first weekend in fall.

The metal item with the 39 on it looks to me like a belt buckle for someone from the class of 1939. They often were given class pins that were shaped like that image on the front of the buckle- very very cool!

I think the little brass bit with the oil lamp on it may have been an incentive award for scripture memory, that's my guess anyway. Recently found your channel and you have a beautifully curated collection of treasures!

Can’t wait to switch from summer’s decor of blue & white, floral, milk glass, etc., for fall’s tartans, brass, amber glass, and wood…. But I think I’ll wait until September. The wooden base is for a clear glass dome. You can use it to display a miniature Christmas tree I'm sure you could find the glass in the future.

Since the little wooden riser says Gotham on the bottom , imagine a silver candlestick on it with a glass surround. It was called a hurricane lamp. Very popular as part of early American decor. I enjoy your channel.

I talked about starting to decorate for fall, but my family all vetoed the idea of decorating this early. It's still in the 90's here. The first silver thing from the antique store is a bobbin for making lace. My grandmother used to use one.

You could always put your fall threads in the little silver dish. I have some of those wood bases that came with my cloches. What a fun store. You got some nice finds❤️

Love the fishscale pattern vanity hairbrush! I pick those up as well, i use them to brush lint/dust/hair off my hats& clothes. Also,great find on your threads! I found an aluminum cake box filled with dozens of full spools of threads,all colors for $9.99 at Gw. I sew, so thats a deal for me! Love the old labels& pricing on them.(10 for $1.00- when? In the 70's???)

I start my fall decor about this time when my son goes back to school because that’s the official start of fall in my mind. Now while I do, I also take a few weeks to sit with it and edit/add where needed. French chairs can run pretty high especially if the upholstery is in good shape, I always reupholster mine so I can get them pretty cheap.

Omg I was hoping you got the salt and pepper shakers!! I would have paid that for them too! So different! So was the round silver piece thing whatever it is😂That glass and gold piece is beautiful. I’ve been cleaning too, I have wood ceilings so I vacuum them and then started on my curtains. I’ve been putting away summer things and looking forward to fall now. Once the house is deep cleaned the goodies come out😂

Cute things!! I use my silver caviar (or butter) dish to hold my bar of face soap…that way my husband doesn’t grab it to wash his hands. 😂. It looks really cute on the vanity. Thanks for sharing!
