Thank you so much! That's the best compliment I could receive because that's truly the message I'm trying to spread on this channel. Thanks for watching 😊
Don't you love when you get a deal like the leaf yray..gorgeous and loved the bowl amd the frames and artwork amd the way you made it look so high end. I thrift all my decor. ❤❤❤❤
Mebane is only about 90mim from where me, my husband and my kids was born and raised, where what family i have left still lives. We moved from there to Tennessee about 4yrs ago. I used to shop at Greensboro mall often and my husband played softball in Carrie and Raleigh for years. I liked what the thrift store was about.. its wild because here in Tennessee we have a home for young men that we rescue, raise up in faith and disciple, from all walks of life ..and we own a thrift store which helps to fund us as we are non-profit. Thanks for sharing today!
I discovered your channel a few months ago - I love to see what you find and how you style it! I especially liked the leaf tray. To my surprise I recently found the same one at my local thrift store! The one I found was more pewter but still very pretty. I had to go back and rewatch your video to get ideas on how to style it. Thank you!
Thank you for allowing Madison to share the store's mission. Tetelestai! As soon as Mackay's comes to Mebane I need to visit all the good stores there. I really like the wooden bowl and leaf tray!
Wow! You really scored big with that leaf accent piece! It looks just like the real expensive one. And I will definitely be trying the fabric wrapped matting! Great tutorial on that… you made it look easy!
It kills me how people hate buying second-hand but you can find such good deals especially like the item you found online you spent $3 and was original $200/300
You have a plethora of thrift stores where you live! I wish we did! I live in central NY and there’s not much😕 I always love your shop with me’s and seeing all the treasures you find! You’re so talented when it comes to turning thrifted finds into something beautiful!
You're too kind. It's a shame there isn't much to choose from where you are, but here's hoping you can find something good anyway soon, despite the limited selection! Thank you for watching 😊
What fantastic treasures! I loved all of them. Thank you for showing how to wrap the mats with linen. I paint landscapes and like to sell them framed on Marketplace. To keep the cost low for everyone, I buy frames from thrift stores. Sometimes the mats are dusty rose or country blue…not ideal for landscapes. ;-) This was so exciting to watch. Thank you for sharing. I’m loving your channel.
Amazing! I wish I could paint well enough to paint my own! I'm so glad you can incorporate that idea--It will allow you to fine tune your framing to really make them pop. Wonderful! I know I will definitely be doing that again. Thanks so much for watching :)
You have a great eye for spotting awesome pieces......I am pleased to find your channel....I live near Mebane NC and will check out these thrift stores....thanks so much.
I just love the landscape pictures in the fabric-wrapped mats!! Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. I will keep my eye out for frames and fabric when I go to our local thrift store, to (hopefully) recreate that project.
Thanks! Yes I usually print mine on matte paper as well but I knew these were going to need to stay under glass anyway being in the kitchen 😂 Staples does a good job as well, I like using them also.
I loved the “speedy” technique you used to show us the mat inside the frame. Easy to understand but we didn’t have to live through the whole process. 😅
Thank you! I am happy to see that your thrift sites are near me! I know the town you shopped in and have found a few great things there at a Goodwill! Your photo ideas were excellent and that color scheme was lovely!
LOVE that fabric wrapped matting on the photo frame! Such a creative idea and it just adds such a nice element of interest! I definitely think I’m going to try this out, thank you! I never would’ve thought of that
Hello from the Pacific Northwest! 🌲I just discovered your channel and I just love your sense of style! I love adding touches of nature throughout my home as well. It's wonderful that you featured Madison from the Living Free Thrift Store giving insight as to their mission to help people struggling with addiction and other challenging life issues. I love shopping thrift stores that help people and animals. It makes my purchases much more meaningful to me. You really scored on that leaf tray! It's just beautiful! Nice touch that you added to the wood frames using the fabric on the mat boards. Really adds that extra touch of style! Looking forward to future videos! Happy New Year to you and your family. Wishing you happiness now and throughout the new year!
Hello from across the US! Thank you for the kind words. I agree that a store's cause is impactful to me as well--it can definitely make the difference in a purchase I'm wavering on. 😊 Thanks very much for watching, glad to have you!
Tasha ... Thanks for sharing such a great haul!!! I love the leaf bowl ... & the idea of wrapping the mats with fabric is great {I think I'll have to do that!!}. I look forward to your videos each week!!
Love the linen mats!! Those frames and prints were perfect too! And that wood bowl is chef’s kiss! ❤ Love that you shared the employees message in this video too ❤
Thank you for the kind words! And yes I really love the linen wrapping and definitely plan to do it again! Such a big impact for something easy and almost free! My favorite kind of thing 😀
That metal leaf bowl was a super fantastic find. It’s beautiful, and the fact that you only had to pay a fraction of what it’s worth is icing on the cake!
