Today I found some interesting items while out searching for vintage items to resell! We visited an estate sale and then after that went to Sheriff Ranches Thrift Store in Ocala Florida.
I have a friend who while waiting in line at GW glanced at the scarves… one stuck out to her so she bought it for a few bucks… turns out it was a high end Parisian designer and she sold it on EBAY for hundreds of dollars!! She never checked the scarves as a rule but now checks them always!! I do too now 😉
When you said Liberty of London I jumped ...There is a high end fabric store in London and I bet that scarf sells for a chunk of money...I will have to check it out...
Eeeek! The green water in that pool was creepy! I remember the mirror tiles from the late 60s-early 70s. My aunt had a whole wall in her dining room covered in them. It was a lotta look, even back when they were new and crazy-popular. The chunky necklace with the bird on it is vintage 80s. Liberty of London items like the blue scarf are very posh and spendy.
When I was young in the 70’s my parent put those same mirror tiles on a wall. It made the living room look bigger plus reflected the light from the windows and made it seem brighter too.
I had a half wall behind my kitchen table in those same mirrors back in the late 70's. Made the kitchen look bigger, but was a pain getting them off when I got tired of them. 😄
In the 70s, having different color carpets in every room was acceptable and common. Dyeing carpet was also a trend, and I suspect what went on in bedroom #1 there. Many a good rented steam cleaner was ruined with carpet dye. It didn't last and ended up like crap unless done professionally. ✌
The mirror tiles would look neat on your kitchen sink wall in the living room but that's just my opinion. Looks like the incredible hulk swam in that pool 😅 Barb and Jeffrey always fun together 🥰
My parents put those tile mirrors up in our bathroom in the early 1980’s. They were on the opposite wall above the big mirror over the sink/counter. They probably used 20 of them! The parents thought their bathroom was the cat’s meow!
My mom put those mirrors in our home in the late 70s. In the family room. She still has them and loves them. Sadly I’ve asked a contractor to give me a bid to take them down.
It was great fun shopping with you both again. Liberty is an old high-end department store in Londen. That scarf was a good deal. I love the garden at that house too.❣️🪴🪴
We certainly do not make pools that big anymore here in Florida. Great pool! I hope that it gets bought and cleaned up and rehab if possible... a shame to not. But so expensive to do it!
Used to be a bagel place in there, went to Ocala all the time - it was right near the Chinese place in the shopping plaza towards the end of the video.
You make a frame on the wall and put those great glass tiles in an entry way ... 70s person here ... People used them that way or in some Hollywood Regency living room ... Or at the exitic neighbor next door lol. ... They remind me a bit of smoking in your house lol
What would you wear with a cadet hat? A cadet uniform. Or, for a thrill ... nothing. Hobby Hair Chinese!!! Now if you get hair in your food, you can't say you weren't warned!
Jeffrey babes, how much coffee did you drink before making this video?! 😂 😂 😂 Ya got my motion sickness in high gear!! Help a girl out and stabilize that video! Lol! That Christmas tree hanging was a great find. The rattan at that house was pretty epic. Are you sure you don’t have a special place on your lanai for 1 or 2 of those?!
