Thrifting in Hawai'i | Finding a mystery photo album & great vintage! 

What a sweet person you are…you care about the folks in the photo albums! I’ve never seen photo albums with actual photos in them…makes me sad. Time marches on😕

That was so very kind of you to show those photos! I'm states away from my family and when they passed away there was no one to dictate where things went. Luckily I got a phone call from a collector who through another person through another person decided to reach out to me and I was beside myself with joy! I felt so lucky! I was able to get some of the stuff that was very specifically family! I have such serious respect for people that consider someone unknown!

I was born in 63 and its cool to see pictures from back in the day from other places ,I live in Alabama .How precious and sweet and sad too but We saw some of their life and that made my day better ❤️

I am sitting here in my kitchen on a normal Thursday in Denmark. I follow you on Instagram and just found you here on RU-vid. I thrift a lot too and also pay attention to details. But the way you look and talk about the pictures it's with such dignity and respect for the people in the, I really think that is so beautiful of you! You made time stop for a moment and showed them and all us watching some of your love for vintage, family stories and lives lived. Really neat and it says a lot about you and teaches us not to take things and life for granted in a way. Thanks for that ❤. Jannie

I'm so sentimental! When I go to the thrfit store it makes me so sad to see stuff like photo albums there. I want to just buy them all to give them a loving home.

Those pictures in the photo album, so adorable. It's sad that when someone passes away; their family just donate the stuff without checking if there's anything personal in them. We used to receive lots of "personal" items. It's very interesting and sad at the same time!

Visiting Hawaii with my husband's family who are significantly financially better off than I am. My husband loves aloha wear. So lol guess who got him like 10 wicked cool aloha wear shirts for under $50, 3 of which were accidental exact matches to shirts his brother had bought new at $50 each... Roflmao... I also got his kids boogie boards for the beach which we donated back to Savers on our way to the airport! Lol very effective use of another $20

Thrifting in places like Hawaii and Sante Fe is always amazing. When I lived in Hawaii I always found great stuff, and in Sante Fe, so much stuff with the purchase tags still on...things never worn. 80s fashion can have terrific things. In Hawaii, 60s and 70s clothes were always so chic Kitten heels are awesome! Major Audrey Hepburn fashion inspiration.

I've been a thrifter/yard saler most of my life. I have to say, some of my best finds ever were in Hawaii when I lived there. Oh how I miss Hawaii! Aloha!

Thrifting in Hawaii would be so cool! The store would probably have some old-school vintage Hawaiian muu muus and shirts, as well as Polynesian and Japanese items that we couldn’t typically find on the mainland.

Jealous Big Islander fan here ..I had to Google *Savers* because of course we don't have one down here! Seems like GW and SA prices have been ridiculously jacked up but we have some pretty sweet local thrift and consignment shops with yard sale prices. You should come down and do a video tour! 🌺🌺🌺

That was a great video. First time here 🥰 Savers are what we call here in Canada Value Village. And frankly, their pricing is RIDICULOUS and I call it, stupid sometimes. 🤭 I worked for years at Thrift Stores, and we used to send (Big brothers, Savers, and Value Village), what doesn't sell at our store. They used to buy it for 3 cnt/lb, then when I visit some of their stores, I find few pieces priced so freaking expensive... I just laugh and roll my eyes 🙄😂

I am with you, these stores have people who clue others first and no not a conspiracy theory. At my age these have been proven true..........I love Pyrex too and use it daily. Do not buy the Pyrex with big P then small letters, it will explode with extreme remp changes....those warming trays are ABSOLUTELY great.....

At 16:45 i have pictures of myself when I was like 2years old at those falls.

Oh I want that doll .I wish I had found it at my trift store .Theres only two where I live and my favorite one is amazing and almost everything is no more than 5 and thats for something really exspensive and brand new r crystal ,things like that .I love going there and all the money u spend goes to college r school scolarships only ,everyone that works there does it as volunteers ,so I go once a week .Those dolls sell on ebay for anywhere from 125$ to 60$ and I sutr wish I could find one at the thrify .

Should have looked up the Dalmatian tea pot. Same one on ebay goes from starting bid in 20s to 65.

I’m astounded of the high prices of the thrift stores …😮 Here, in Quebec province, it’s at least 60% of those prices. Still treasures to find but at a high cost. I feel lucky to find fabric and quilts for 3 to 5$ Canadian 😅
