Helpful tip! Any coats or clothing with fur, if the fur is looking matted or just in rough shape, buy a slicker brush. Slicker brushes are used for animals so you can find them at the pet store or just order one. It makes the fur fabric look plush and new again and easier to restyle it.
@@Smt_.x Anything over 20 years old is considered vintage. Charlotte Russe was founded 49 years ago in 1975. If that shirt was made over 20 years ago, it would be considered vintage.
That cherry one was adoooorable. So retro! Love it! I manifested today and found the cutest high waisted flare pants that I've been searching for. 😂 I also got stickers for my daughter that I needed and rubber boots for my little guy, which was also a necessity. 😂 only spend 13 bucks
Nice! I once manifested a large blue cat squishmallow😃 I wearing a blue dress and lil cat ears that I hardly wear! And was just talking about how much I'd love to find a large squishmallow! Since I only find small ones.
Thrifting is my life 😂 and I love my life. Today I got my dream rattan chair I've been looking for and I needed contact paper and they had exactly what I wanted and then I found the most gorgeous mirror. The universe has been hooking up this old bohemian lately! Nice to see the youth enjoying thrift treasures
Aaarghhh I wish I could go to a thrift store as well! I know a store that has weekly discounts and like 80% will be at the end of May. I'll go there before my birthday :}
Okay, fun story, my mom stopped by a salvation Army and I didn't go in because I never really find much in there, somehow, my mom walks back to the car and was like "guess what I found?" IT WAS A YELLOW MEMBER'S ONLY JACKET, AND A VINTAGE ONE AT THAT, I am OBSESSED with the 80s, what's one popular thing from the 80s? A MEMBER'S ONLY JACKET I don't even know how, but I manifested it and didn't even look for it😭😭😭 and literally everytime I go to a thrift store, I find something I've been looking for 💗
I’m slowly realizing how uncommon low waisted flairs are, they are like the only types of jeans I wear, and I’ve always seen them as normal because I own like 7 pairs, possibly more
If you really want something, God gives it to you. I was really struggling in the late 1990s, and I needed a suit for an interview, but I couldn't afford one. Once, while driving by a Goodwill store I got a sensation and an impulse to enter it. While there, I found a great, 100% wool Italian made suit, three pieces, brand new, for $20. And it fit me like a glove. I was able to have an interview, get a good job, and I had that suit until about 2020. I gave it away to the Salvation Army once I retired
You look gorgeous 😍 Where do people buy thrift clothes? Sighs. Our country doesn't have one so I need to list the countries where this thrift stores are found. Hopefully someday I'll be able to travel and find something.
I am gonna ask my grandma if I can go thrifiting with her bc I always find the cutest stuff. Idk what people mean about thrifting being icky. I like it bc I can get pretty clothes even while I am poor
“Vintage Charlotte Rousse” Is comical, almost as much as talking about how much you’re excited that Furr is back, which discussed me if if you knew the animals that he came from. Ignorance is not bliss.
if only the thrift stores near my place could actually have cute items oof- it's really ugly grandma clothes(and I think some grandma clothes can look good but the ones at my local thrift store NEVER-) and the ones that are cute are usually not my size.. having a big chest and a squished together torso really makes it a bit challenging to find shirts sometimes... specially cause I like tight fitting shirts... and pants and skirts probably not any better as I have wide hips... something not many clothing item in my country accommodate for unfortunately... and it's not like I am severely obese sure I am on the chubbier side but most of it comes down to my bone structure.... idk maybe I just need to find a better thrift place-
Just be careful with those fur jackets and how you wash them. I wore a lot of the clothes you showed when I was a kid growing up, around elementary age. Those particular jackets gets so annoying after a while, because the fur gets so messed up. I’m actually surprised that the red one you got looks that good considering it’s vintage. Most of the time they end up looking bad, because the fur is made out of plastic, so overtime it’s essentially just melting together. I really like the black one you got to. I literally have a picture of myself at Christmas when I’m like 10 years old wearing one of those. 😭 It is so funny to me to finally be old enough (28), to watch fashion come in and out. Especially when it comes to lowrise jeans, because they were the bane of my existence growing up. Lol
Oh this makes me feel old! All that stuff i had when younger and seems really dated and horrid looking to me, especially the fur vest, i refer everyone to the Simpsons in the 90s and mr burns fur vest..the cardigans? We all had like five of them our grandmother or aunties had knitted, wouldnt be seen dead in them, absolute cringe and height of embarrassment as a teen!
