A PS3 console?! This is a console pickup we don't normally have here on Thrifty Gaming Pickups! As for games this time around I got a nice mix of PS3, PSP, PS1, and even some Xbox One games! The local thrift shops had some good sales going on, and I made use of a 50% off coupon at a few Half Price Books shops.

Great find on the ps3. Ps3 fats though can safely go up to 74c. 78c is where it gets concerning then if you go up to 80c+ then it is dangerous. Super slims can handle up to 90c. Cech 3xxx should be able to handle up to 78c and 80c+ is concerning. All up to you just wanted to let you know so you didn't have to run the fan louder than you need to

Good to know! I've been told before 80+ is the danger zone. Surprising with the Super Slim models, as that's no doubt my coolest PS3. I'd be shocked if I ever saw it go that high.

@@iPsychozoa Heat is not really the issue. It is like Trying to fix something that is already broken. If the system is defective it is defective.(this goes for the 360 as well) The engineers know a lot and designed the system good. Just PS3 should be tried to kept a little cool because there is no way to diagnose the issues thus they cant be fixed(Well there are diagnostic lights but they havent been figured out) anyway end rant

PvZ Garden Warfare is legit. As for King's Field, it's kinda weird that ASCII pulled Dynasty Warriors on that game and Clock Tower, where King's Field 2 here is King's Field 3 in Japan, as we never got the original King's Field (which is now Fan translated). Same with King's Field 1 USA is King's Field 2 Japan.

@@iPsychozoa the patch for that is up on Romhacking as well as King's Field 3 Pilot Style translation, prologue game before King's Field 3 came out over there.

Wish my slim was the 3000 model, I have the 2000 model and I know the NEC capacitors are going to kill it at one point. Re-pasted it but it takes like 4 restarts to stay on because for those first four attempts, the red light of death comes on. Before I repasted it, it would start up fine but it was hot, now it takes 4 attempts but it runs cool. Strange. I know I tightened the heatsink just fine and uses mx-4 as well. Might have to re open it to see.

When you play PS2 games on your BC PS3 do they look dark because mines do? I am using component cables on 1080p and I do not get any signal out of the HDMI port.
