@@Babarmuse Probably because Gambhir was 1 of IND's best better of spin in that era & SL had 1 of the best spin attack at the same time with Murli, Herath, Mendis & others. Gambhir used to play a lot of anchor innings when other got out in the middle overs of spin. He also scored some crucial knocks in NZ & AUS conditions when IND batting order needed him.

I miss Raina. He always contributed the necessary 20s-30s-40s for the team, and because it didn't reach 50 all the time, he was heavily underrated and unnoticed. He's the anchor, and often had one of those overs where he'd hit 4 or 5 fours in a row. We can already see how CSK is suffering without him. Just remember who Mr.IPL is
