"Jeep climbs embankment...", as if only a Jeep or other 4X4 could do it? and its only a couple of seconds in the whole video and thats your catch line? what a JOKE!
As a Jeep owner, I'm slightly embarrassed for it's poor performance. They can usually do 125+ MPH on an older model. This one, pretty slow but heck it's a rental. A Jeep Track Hawk would have left the cops in the dust at 180 MPH. I'm not at all cheering for this idiot's conduct either. A VW Golf could have caught and Pitted him several times.
Don't get me wrong, assault on an officer is serious, but a high-speed chase for a run over foot? Come on let's get back to reality and use some common sense
This reporter has no knowledge about how to cover a chase. I'm going back to Stu on Fox 11 out of LA, STU knows what he is doing & has a great sense of humor while he's doing it. I'm out -
That Round Speedometer Animation Circle permanently branded on the viewing screen in showing the variation of speed the getaway car is going is most annoying and obnoxious, first of all it is absolutely not reliable, inconsistent, gets in the way of the viewer, and even worst when the car finally is stopped the Animated Speedometer becomes useless on the screen while showing the speed wavering between 0-4 mph, A simple speed number with the words underneath MPH should suffice....PS: A Smaller On-Screen Speedometer perhaps on a corner bottom area of the video screen? and behind the direction of the Chase?
