This is fantastic! I started in March, 2023 and in August I had my first $2k month. It more than doubled going into September and October with two 5k months. I don’t think it’ll stay that way, but I’m hoping it never dips below 2k a month.
Today, I will start getting serious about my TPT store again, too. I could have made a great deal of money if only I'd stuck with it. I am looking at some of the products I put up around 2013 and thinking I could have sold this if only I'd added a description. When I started it took little to rank on the first page. Thank you for the inspiration.
Great video! I've incorporated these ideas too, right from the start--except the RU-vid channel LOL. I did way, way way better than I thought I would for my first month! I hope I continue in a similar path to you. What's your connection with Saint John, NB? Wonderful area of Canada!
Some of my ancestors were loyalists who settled in St. John after the American Revolutionary War. Their land in Connecticut had been confiscated. My wife and I visited the St. John area for a couple of days in 2019 and had a lovely time. We even found the grave of the brother of one of my ancestors in the old loyalist cemetery in St. George.
Hey Mr. Louis! I'm in same situation and have gone all in this month. I wanted to first give you feedback on your video as it's super relatable and very relaxed and informative! Please keep making these types of videos as I think they're brilliant! I've also gone hard in to branding too but not got round to emailing list - but I wanted to how did you set it up? Second - whether you've got the time, would I be able to get your feedback on my store (really not trying to plug but would love to see what you think of my thumbnail format, if it fits the bill or not - I know I'm working against million primary teachers too) - Finally, I've been working on a feature product too which I've been pouring 100+ hours into which is an educational and kid friendly TTRPG (compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5e) called Classrooms & Chimeras - I was wondering if there would be, in your opinion, any drive or audience for that? 😊 Thank you! 😊
Thanks for the great feedback! I plan on making a TPT video each month, so stay tuned. The short answer about my email list is Google Forms. Based on your comment, I'll plan on making that my "tip" in next month's video and go into more detail about how I set it up. I pulled up your store and it looks good. Great first impression. Your thumbnails are consistent and stand out so that's a plus for your branding. One suggestion is to create Custom Categories which will allow you to organize items in your store to make it easier for customers to find things. Eventually you can even add icons and different fonts to that section (check mine out for an example.) Lastly, I definitely think there would be a market for your Classrooms and Chimeras. D&D is so popular right now. A teacher at my school just started a D&D club and it has huge participation.

Genuinely didn't realise how informative and great your Today in History playlist were! I found myself watching the whole video about Kurt Cobain accidentally I think I've just found my next podcast (YT version) to binge on the way to school! :)
I would recommend both, if possible, but definitely get both in the title and first few lines of the description. I would also find out what some of the top-selling Spanish teachers are doing as far as titles. Most importantly, think of how you would search for your product if you were in the market for it and tweak your title and description until it shows up as one of the top results.
This video is super helpful! Quick question: Do you or should you watermark every product you post up on tpt with your brand? or leave it kinda generic for anyone to use?
