😂 Hello Gareth 👋 I couldn't stop laughing at the best line I've heard in ages.. your face was red your eyes was watering and you best line was ' it has a bit of heat ' 😂😂😂. Well done Gareth. Sending you and your family love and prayers 🙏 God bless you all.
Yep it wasn't that long ago, used to get them fairly often for a Friday evening treat as I passed a Morrisons on the way home from work. Everything is so stupidly expensive now 🤬
Looks lovely, only problem with Morrisons curries is the availability, the hot ones are always out of stock, they must get less than 5 a week per store.
Palm Oil... Sunflower Oil...Rapeseed Oil. All the worst oils :) Thai Chicken. It allways amazes me they use chicken from abroad when our standards in the uk and europe are so good. You can only imagine how cheap that chicken is to make it profitable to hike it from the other side of the globe :( However, I do think they use older chicken so it has a more intense flavour. Yes, sweet and with all the oil. It's to make it addictive. Just got to watch the intro again to see the sugar content.... Palm Sugar, regular Sugar, Yikes... and it gives a green rating on sugar but high in oil. If I use sugar in a curry (rare) it is just a teaspoon of palm sugar. Also, I think the tomato will be pretty sweet with a lot of non-disclosed sugar. I think I'd rather build my own. Never mind the throat blaster; I imagine it will be a bowl shatterer. Yeek!
I just love your face when you have something mega hot - your face changing colour and your eyes looking up at the ceiling, cracks me up Gaz. This looks really good and even though I often make my own (with a little help from those jar sauces 😁) I will give this a try and perfect on a bed of Basmati rice with some Pompadoms (As singer Russell Watson once referred to them on tv many moons ago) and Mango chutney. Though I don't mind Chicken in Curry, I do prefer Beef or Lamb and a Beef or Lamb version would be awesome. Pretty good for £4 and then add £1 for a pack of decent Basmati rice and Aldi's own Poppadoms are less then a quid so less than £6 altogether, much cheaper than a restaurant.
I bought some of these after watching your review video. I have eaten it for the past 3 days, and I have two more in the fridge for the next two days. Thats how good this Naga curry is.
Had a Morries curry a few years ago that they advertised as the hottest supermarket curry ever. I thought it was hype so I bought it (normally I eat a Bradford medium heat). Jesus, it nearly killed me. I took an hour to eat it but as a Yorkshireman I couldn't throw away food😅
Bloody hell mate when you had your first mouth full it just sounded like you had a good kick in the Jacob’s so high pitched voice I’m still laughing now brilliant vid
Providing it had a good flavour, I used to love a very hot curry We used to go to the Indian restaurants in Tooting when I was at uni. I can't tolerate any spice at all anymore since I had intensive radiotherapy for a brain tumour. Even KFC chicken is uncomfortable for me. A real shame
I have tried this and it is hot and lovely considering the price in an Indian restaurant, I added a Carolina reaper chilli to mine and it was really hot but nice.
GOOD POST ONCE AGAIN. Morrison's curries are really good but they are not always available. I get a lot of Iceland curries much cheaper than Morrison's but not too bad
That curry looks well nice. Decent nutrition macros too. Add keema rice and a Peshawari naan - lovely end to a challenging week. Little heads up on Tesco wasabi spicy chicken pops.
Alright Gareth Craig from aldershot here. Would love it if you could give me your thoughts/review maggi curry noodles. They pack a punch and I think you'd love them as you like a bit a spice. They do 2 weights tho 59g and 79g. The 59g have a different recipe and are nowhere near as good it's the 79g ones that you want. I really do think you'll like em and they are currently £2.50 for 5 packs in tesco with a club card.
Those Morrisons curries are really good overall, always grab one during the week and have it with the Veetee steamed pilau rice. Price is a bit steeper now like everything but for something that takes under 10 minutes to bang together after work before heading out again it's no the worst.
Habaneros were my limit for many years until I grew my first Nagas (Bhut Jolokia). Then they became my general limit. Then I was sent seeds for Carolina Reapers before they won the Guinness award. That was a mistake.
Great reaction Gareth you are a glutton for punishment and certainly made me LOL when it hit your throat. A bit too hot for me but have to say I do like those containers
Afternoon Gareth I do like and it makes me laugh all the recommendations you get from people who like to see you suffer from the heat and spicy meals! really enjoy your vlogs. This curry looks good with big lumps of chicken and hot before you have even tried it!Thank you for the laugh Gareth you have brightened my day!.Sue
Hello, This is a great review and the reaction of the spice was good... This is one of the better tasting Chicken Curries out there that has some heat to it... Something off the wall that I do; maybe you should try it, you might be surprised... I got one of those curries (a milder ones still quite spicy hot) and I had a pizza base in the freezer and had a great idea to combine it... I'm single so I can't or try not to finish the whole packet so I had left overs with some chicken pieces left and made a pizza with the curry as the sauce shredded the chicken a bit then topped it wit cheese and it was divine, truly delicious.. You should try it... Also have you tried doing a comparison of different condiments and sauces like tomato ketchup, hot sauces or relishes as they form a base of all the Fries/Chips dips and to find out the difference in the products taste... Cheers Duane...
Had to go and see if my local Morrison's had it in last night after watching your facial 11/10 rating expressions. Great recommendation Gareth, and yes it is 11/10 for a supermarket Curry. Although i did do a extra chicken breast in the air-fryer to add to it. 100% buy again!
Your gotta say the supermarkets are really getting good on currys especially if your on a budget and fancy a curry ..put in freezer if down in price to
I love a Naga curry as well. I bought some Mr Naga Pickle a few weeks back. I believe it's what a lot of the Indian restaurants use. I have some dried Naga's as well. Fresh ones seem to be quite hard to come by. I'll have to take a trip to Morrisons coz that looks great 🙂
Mr Naga pickle paste is nuts. It's delicious and it's got that funky fenugreek hum, but it's so frickin' hot though. It's making me nervous just thinking about it.
I don't know about other Morrisons branches, but my local in Stamford feels like it's closing down. The pie counter is closed (and I used to like their pies), the cafe has very few people in it whenever I go in (it used to be pretty full a few years ago) and there is a general feel that it's in a closing down mode. Sad as I used to like it.
If I ate that curry, I would be on the "shitters", excuse my French, for a whole day, screaming in pain. Don't understand how you're handling the heat, Gareth. 🥴
Just been to Aldi and missed their Bilash chicken Phal but that was last weeks special ,so none left, I am moving on to morrisons and hope to nab one of these but once the you tubers bang it on their posts after they see what you are up to there is no hoe for the rest of us to nab one, out of stock sir suggest Gareth try's our Christmas stuffing range or pumpkin products ) Thanks again Garth, nice one.
Thats a massive improvement on the tikka masala you had the other day Gareth, the chicken in that must of been the floor sweepings 😂I quite like Morrisons, just wish they were more local to me as they do a good selection of chilled fish and their meat Is pretty good too ( for a supermarket anyway) cheers pal and all the best 👍
Chicken Naga from my local Indian is awesome Gaz, here in Leicester. The aroma, taste and gravy etc is just superb! It's Friday, which for me is curry night, so will be ordering this tonight, oh yesss !! Can tell when you've had something spicy, your cheeks and forehead go pink lol !! Cheers pal, hope you are well, Daz, Leicester.
*Ooofff 😮🔥🔥🔥‼️* That will clear your head- I think this must be right up there for spice and heat . For you to think so,it must be. Reckon you have a spice tolerance. Also, the more red and deeper red the more potent the spice.
I do love a spicy dish 🌶️ Gonna have to pick this up from Morrisons after your review! Cheez-It (a popular American snack) has come to the UK - if you find them and have the time, could you give them a review? Some love them, some hate them so I’d be interested to see what you think! 🧀
Another great firey review, that looked really nice,I'll be looking for this in our local morrisons. Hot enough but not blowing your head off or you can't taste it for being so hot. 👌
I like Naga chilli but Scotch Bonnets are my favourite, as they're so fruity but really hot too. Can't really do without them if you're making jerk meat or Jamaican food.
