I remember being at this concert...waayyyy up in the cheap seats, knowing that I was seeing magic. This part in particular blew me away. As a dancer, I was and am still so inspired by these dancers. Janet is simply iconic. Shawnette and Tish...my God, the talent. I can't even express how these two informed my dancing. They are divine...and you don't get that nastiness and 'stankness' that has somehow found its way into hip-hop today. They could smile and still serve it.
Tish and Omar killed it ! and just did the Damn thing! I'm glad janet saved herself till the end of the song cuz that hair whip was so fu$%kn strong she didn't need to dance, it was all in the whip
Alot of her dancers only perform with her during one era. She said she likes to switch them up. The exceptions are her good friends. Like Shawnette Heard, Kelly Konno, Nikki Patenburgh and Gil Duldulao. Tina Landon used to be one but thats another story.
great performance the Janet and the dancers are amazing this concert was actually in 1995 the tour started in November 1993 but it lasted for 2yrs and this concert was near the end of the tour.
Rotterdam my home town....great seeing this. and knowing im in the crowed. she gave 2 shows went to both lol skipped skool 2 days. im right in front in the middel of the staged. was there at 11 am doors opend at 7 pm. if you want a good spot got to work for it
Oh yeah, SNL tore it up, the moves were funkier and their were more dancers at one time that made it look flashier I like the way the beat is popping on this
3:47!!Luv it!! She does my favorite childhood move (i mean when I was like 5 yo), thebutterfly. I don't know her butt makes her look like she was bigger than she really is. I'm 15, this was shot the year is was born 93, and her waist was and is TINY!! I don't care what size she is, I will always love her no matter what.
^ As far as the Rhythm Nation -- maybe I will, I should say, put it on the next album or release it at some point. And as far as the Rhythm Nation Tour, I'm going to. That and the Janet Tour I have never put on DVD. That's something I'm definitely going to do. - from interview with larry king 2008
You can get Rhythm Nation Tokyo Dome on DVD. I got it for Christmas...so the only problem is I don't know where they got it from. Didn't ask and they wouldn't have told.
