Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: (book not in chronological order ) Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse. Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb. Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present? The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ. He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18. The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15. The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13. He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet? He comes on a horse in chapter 19. Chapter 20? Does He come with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1? (The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.) There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46. Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked? Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels were previously bound in some manner. Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book. The principle of "Recapitulation" means there are multiple visions of His return.

The last verse Revelation ch 6 tells us the wrath of God has began. It does appear maybe some of the events are expounded upon and not totally different events as the book unfolds. I believe someone with a knowledge of the original language will notice things that are ignored by others. To many people just throw in their own interpretation . But the Holy Spirit used unique words given to the authors throughout generations and centuries to connect the meaning way beyond what mortal man on his own can ever do. I see some really far out explanations of things the Bible has already given us the meaning.

@@Dovee111 good question, so if you look at Ezekiel 39 verse nine it says those who dwell in Israel. It does not say that is real true believers who will flee. There will be people in Israel that are not part of this saved people that flee. The people that are Fleye are the people whose hearts I have turned to the Lord and will be preserved. There will be people in Israel who are not even Jewish and there are people there that are Jewish who have no heart for the Lord.

There is a gap between the Rapture and the beginning of the Tribulation, but we don't know how long. It could be a few years. That could help explain the time needed. Just an idea...

Details don’t fit. Among others: Jesus not present in Ez 38. Takes 7 months to clean up dead (radioactive?) bodies. Weapons confiscated are used to provide all energy needs for Israel after the war.

@Sssssup?! 39:7 (part “a” up to the colon) is specifically referring to Israel. And I’ve already stated my understanding on that: Right now much of Israel and Jews worldwide are completely apostate-atheists-and many are actually evil-doers. Only the Orthodox still worship God. All this verse is saying is after the miraculous delivery by God in this war, the Jews will all become “Orthodox,” They will turn back to GOD--but not Jesus!!! Not yet. They will be in a perfect frame of mind to sign the covenant with Antichrist, rebuild the temple and reinstate sacrifices as they wait for the coming (to them the first and only coming) of Messiah. Part b of the verse refers to the heathen/nations/Gentiles. And after the war, they too will know it was a supernatural event spearheaded by Israel’s God--“the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One IN ISRAEL” That’s just what Pharaoh knew after God delivered the Israelites and killed his first-born, but Pharaoh never turned to that Powerful God for salvation! Same situation after the war . . . As far as Israel’s safety today: They are successfully defending peace through strength. Granted, it’s a full-time job, but they are succeeding and will never be overcome by their enemies--these two chapters, I believe are the next big attempt and we see how that ends for their enemies. Their cities are unwalled-a first in their history--and safer for their citizens than our metropolitan areas in the US.

@Sssssup?! You and I know Jesus is God. But the Jews don’t and STILL won’t after the Ezekiel war. In Matt 23:39 Jesus told the Jews “Ye shall not see me henceforth, till you say, ‘Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.’ I do study the Bible, 3-4 hours per day. Instead, of popping off sarcastic quips, why don’t you offer your own timeline of the Ezekiel War?

@Sssssup?! Sorry if that came over wrong. What I meant is that they will not be overcome by their enemies and cease to exist as a city and nation ever again in this age. During the Tribulation Jesus allows the Antichrist to sit in the temple and rule the city (and the world) for the last 3 1/2 years. The Jewish remnant flees to the mountains where they are hidden and cared for by God until after Armageddon. I am not referring to Jews who succumb (do not endure/overcome) and get the Mark of the Beast. We know they are doomed at that point. After Armageddon Jesus will renovate the topography of the land and build (or oversee the building of) the Millennial Temple described in Ez 40-48.

@Sssssup?! okay! Yes, thank you! I really find the timing of Ezekiel 38-39 fascinating. There is absolutely room for differing opinions! The questions I ask myself: God intervenes in a big way, but no mention of a bodily return or Jesus to split Mount of Olives, and it’s not every nation doing battle against God and Israel as at the end of the Tribulation but a select named dozen or so we can actually pretty much identify with conversions to modern-day names! so Armageddon seems to be out. So does Gog and Magog of Rev 20, mostly because of these fascinating tidbits we’re given in Ezekiel 39: After the battle it appears Israel will use the weapons of the war as “fuel” for their country for seven years, to the exclusion of needing any other (vs 9-10). It takes them seven months to bury the dead, which appear to be contaminated in some way for it takes specially trained teams to do the job. If you come across a body and you are not trained you are instructed to “flag it” until the pros come along! (vs 12-15) God allows Israel revenge of sorts by telling us Israel will “spoil those that spoiled them and rob those that robbed them” after God defeats their enemies. These “after events” surely don’t fit in the perfect Eternal State that immediately follows the God and Magog of Rev 20! So where does the war of Ezekiel 38-39 fit in???? Honest question!

If it is indeed Russia , the scripture clearly states that it is not necessarily the peoples or the leaders choice on their own. Verses 4, 10 and especially 16 are vital. " I" will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know me, when I am hallowed in you O gog, before their eyes. The pastor can answer you much better, but one thing you should know, many Americans have much respect for the Russian peoples. Your bravery and sacrifices against the Nazis are legendary. Our Governments and their propaganda have kept us apart for power and money. It's a shame. Notice that the US is slowly leaving the middle east and has sold its soul. Anti Israel sentiment is growing once again. I believe God's plan includes very well deserved bad news for us as well. Peace and love my brother, keep the faith in God's plan for all of us.

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
