I love how the explanation of why the Dursleys center their hate towards Harry because they’d turn on each other otherwise. Exactly the same in Family Guy on why they all hate on Meg. Makes so much sense lol

Lucius and Draco almost certainly arrived on the same day as the Weasley family (and tons of other students) because the book list had just come out, late. The school year is about to start. The Weasleys even mention the fact it took Dumbledore a long time to hire the DADA professor, so it's very close to September 1st.

in chapter 4 has anyone ever noticed that the first color of robes Lockhart ever wears is Forget-Me-Not Blue, yet that is exactly what he will become. Someone who forgets himself. Just realized this connection and made me laugh at the foreshadowing.

I started listening to the audiobooks, and in Chamber when Harry is saying how the Dursleys don’t care if he loses his spot on the Quidditch team, he actually DOES also mention having homework that he is unable to do as his stuff is locked up.

I dunno why I have suddenly developed this obsession over names and stuff be there we go but like I have only just kind of realised that compared to a lot of other all wizard families the Weasley's have very like normal sounding regular names. like in the real world today you wouldn't think twice about a person names Molly or Fred or George or Arthur and such with I think the only exception being Ginny which we do know is short for Ginervra. but like a lot of the other Wizard families we meet have very fancy names like the Black family and the Malfoy's and stuff. And that to me I feel adds to like how comforting and homely the Weasley's are and who they are as people and how they present themselves to the world and what they value. We know they don't care about stuff like status and blood purity and the like so I feel they would think naming their children a fancy name is kind of pretentious in a way so instead gave all their children very regular normal sounding names. Again I think because she is the only girl Ginny is the exception to the rule because she is treated as a little more special than the boys. Plus the meaning of the name Molly if you look up the history of the name is literally Love. the name Molly means Love and the woman is love. She is the warm hug and the cosy sweater and the plate of delicious food. Molly Weasley is love and that's just freaking awesome.

Wouldn't Snape only be 32? Harry's parents were the same age and they died when they were 21, I guess maybe he'd be 33 because it's 12 years later

The reason Harry and everyone else didn't hear Nevels howler is because he didn't open it right away. That's the whole reason he brings it up! could have got it his first year and then gone out of his way not to open it around any of his classmates. Make sense!

I have always pictured that the car started to fall out of the sky when they crossed the castle border so it is like what makes other muggle items not work. This also is what makes the car come to life because of the magic Author has done to it.

Saying the Malfoy are the opposite of the Weasley seems a little incorrect. Moneywise they are definitely opposite, but even if they're bad people I think it's shown pretty well throughout the series that they are a loving family, their love for one another is even what causes them to go against Voldemort in the end. Definitely not good people though!

Well sorta. The function of the Malloy family is to show their opposition to the Weasleys. Draco has a similar role to Dudley, they love Draco yes and obviously don’t want harm to come to him, but their love seems very surface level. Dudley was treated as well as he was just because of Harry. Dracos parents (his dad at least) 100% value status over almost everything else. They spoil Draco because they can, sending eagle owls of sweets everyday to the great hall, buying him and his whole team new brooms. If they loved like the weasleys did, they’d encourage Draco to earn his spot on the team because that is more loving than giving him whatever he wants. I do think that Draco’s mom is portrayed very well, for being a story centered around mother’s love. But I think the Malfoys and Weasleys are opposites, with deliberate similarities to further show how opposite they are.

The reason 11-17 year old wizards don't accidentally perform wandless magic (typically, exceptions like blowing up Aunt Marge do exist) is because they have 10 months of wielding magic wherein it's not all built up inside of them. Harry, possibly due to being a horcrux, might have extra, and as a result has extra magic build up until he's 13 or so.

Can you do what if wormtail telling voldemort the potters house location was a setup and when he arrives all of the order members are waiting for him while harry,james and lily are safely escorted to hagrids hut or what if voldemorts wand backfired and killed wormtail when he used it to kill Cedric in the graveyard or what if the characters were in different houses Harry:Slytherin,Ron:Griffindor,Hermoine:Ravenclaw,Neville:Hufflepuff Or What if Harry was in Ravenclaw And Hufflepuff.

I looked into the question about when Neville recieved the howler. Ron was in the hospital wing when they got rid of Norbert. Its not explicitly stated the next morning what happened as far as breakfast and mail but its possible Harry missed mail call because he went to see Ron that morning.

My headcannons as to where Rita Skeeter was: Year 1: She isn't an accomplished writer yet and Dumbledore, fearing what fame would do to Harry, wouldn't allow anyone near him. Year 2: Too dangerous. Even for a story, she won't face Salazar's monster. Year 3: Dementors and heightened security. By Year 4, she is an accomplished writer, and has easier access to Hogwarts since Ministry officials are everywhere.

The mauraders being the only ones that can see each other on the map doesn’t work. Because Snape saw Lupin on it entering the Womping willow passageway. That’s how he knew where to go.

Actually there might be an explanation for that. Depending on how the magic works maybe it was more important for the teacher Remus Lupin to be shown on the map than for the marauder Mooney to be hidden.

I am really enjoying your videos! Here is a question for you: how does Dobby steals the letters to Harry? I suppose they are delivered by owl, and the owls always seem very committed to this delivery job. Does Dobby assault the owls? Shouldn't someone notice that the owls did not complete their job? In Order Of The Phoenix, Harry immediately notice that Hedwig was hurt when someone intercepted the letter addressed to him. What do you think?

Question: I wonder, if Slytherin thought, his heir would be a girl, and thus put the entrance to the chamber in the girls toilett OR if, back then, only boys were allowed in Hogwards (because education for girls wasn't a thing) and ALL toiletts were boys toiletts. Only when girls started to go to school in Hogwards, they made some of the toiletts for girls and the one with the entry to the Chamber HAPPEND to be one of them, making it even harder for male heirs to find it. OR Slytherin thought, girls would NEVER come looking for the entrance in the boys toiletts, boys on the otherhand would look in the girls toiletts. What do you think?

I would say hogwarts was never a boys only school as two of the founders were women so it doesnt really make sense if wizards thought education wasnt for girls for half the founders to be women. I personally think that the entrance was there before it was a bathroom (as they didnt originally have plumbing) and magically melded with the sink when the bathroom was installed.

How do we know Borgen isn't a good dude? I don't think he does anything throughout the entire series that would be considered bad right? I mean I'm sure he's not exceptionally good but I feel like someone in his career needs to be pretty careful when it comes to doing anything bad, if Lucius is under investigation ministry must check in on Borgen like once a week!! I don't think having a fascination with dark artifacts Is necessarily a sign that someone is immoral In any way🤔

But let me know if I'm wrong and there is an example of him committing an unethical act!!!!😊 Hiring Tom Riddle obviously isn't a bad thing, maybe even a kind thing hiring a poor young man with absolutely no family. And then Draco essentially forces him to give his assistance in book 6, I don't think you can judge a guy too harshly when he is being threatened with grayback… aside from that he just seems like a private guy who runs a dark artifact shop
