Lavar Arrington was easily the most physically gifted linebacker to ever play at Penn State. He was big enough to take on any offensive lineman and fast enough to cover wide receivers in man coverage. Arrington was the number two pick overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2000 NFL draft. He made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2001-2003.

I was SUCH a huge fan of this dude. He was everything you wanted in a LB. It's funny how Micah Parsons is coming out for the 2021 NFL Draft. They seem to be the same player in terms of ability and even, college number (#11).

@@Tone22845 LaVar's best was 4.37 at Holuba Hall. Courtney Brown, 6'5" 270 lbs ran 4.48 at Holuba as well. They both had 40 inch vertical leaps and were ungodly strong. Micah is simply not in their physical strata although he is freakishly fast, quick, strong as well. Brown and Arrington ended-up being drafted 1 & 2 overall in the same entry draft. Best overall PSU linebacker may have been Paul Posluszny then Dan Conner ~ checkout their stats. This despite the fact that LaVar was the most physically dominant ever at PSU and perhaps college football history.
