I’d argue when the lights were the brightest, big games, he was top 3 even past his prime. 2012-2014 spurs were dominating

Parker is probably the best finisher all time for guys under 6'4. Him and Kyrie. Kyrie has more variety but tony was just unstoppable driving to the rim

@thetraveler9
@thetraveler9 2 года назад
@@majarjones8388 no disrespect. Kyrie is my favorite player ever but Tony was better finisher and that's no knock on kyrie because Kyries about as good as it gets at finishing but Tony was something else . He changed the game with his penetration same way curry did with threes. For a while a rim stopper was a must have for any team with title aspirations because guards emulating Tony's approach would wreck havoc on defenses. Look at some of Tony's fg percentages and watch his highlights vs Cavs in finals. He was unstoppable driving

Tony was essentially a second coming of Allen Iverson, with less natural athleticism and sheer giftedness, and a more well-rounded game. Just an absolute layup God.

Tony said that he will workout harder in the weight room and that he will comeback better than ever. I trust him because he is a champion unlike CP0 who didn't do anything in game 7 to help the Clippers to win against the Jazz. CP0 doesn't knows how to win that's why the Spurs doesn't need him. CP0 never faced in the playoffs a team that made it to the NBA finals but he never reached the conference finals. Only 2 teams in the NBA never went to the conference finals : The Pelicans and the Clippers. the commun point between those 2 teams is that Chris Paul played for them. It's everything except a coincidence!
@nasirthesenatejohnson6935
@nasirthesenatejohnson6935 7 лет назад
Christophe Maximin Your logic is flawed, even if Paul didn't put on a historic game seven he played good for the other 6 games right? And it isn't his fault (entirely) that his team doesn't prosper in the playoffs. But since you wanna bring up game 7s, I clearly remember Chris Paul hitting a game winning shot in game 7 which eliminated your precious Spurs
@christophemaximin337
@christophemaximin337 7 лет назад
Nasir Johnson I remember that after this big clutch shot by CP3 the spurs took a time out to execute a play call. Kawhi was wide open underneath the basket for the alley oop but the buzzer rang before the Spurs made the inbound pass. Yes, I remember that the Clippers cheated that day. But who cares, because what everybody remember is that during the next series, the Clippers were up 3-1 against the Rockets and chocked a 19 points lead. Then they got spanked the 2 next games by the Rockets without Chris Paul doing anything to help his team. When CP3 feels like he is about to make it to the conference finals he always stop to play on purpose because he doesn't want to cancel his reservations for the Bahamas where he loves to spend his vacations. Chris Paul doesn't want to miss the opportunity to spend good time with his family because he is a wonderful dad. I can't blame him for that but the Spurs have another mentality so they don't need him

Christophe Maximin The buzzer rang before the Spurs made the inbound pass.... And I thought warriors fans were ridiculous. I'll give you credit though, that's a new excuse. I never heard it before, I'll have to use that some day. And may I remind you that the Spurs choke all the time, regular season, playoffs, and in the finals.
@christophemaximin337
@christophemaximin337 7 лет назад
Nasir Johnson You such an ignorant bball fan that you don't even knows that. Yes it happened, the Clippers screwed the last play and Spurs couldn't run another play and that why Matt Barnes intercepted the ball when they ran it again after the clock was fixed. Everybody knows that but no one used that as an excuse and I don't. It's just a fact. Pop and Spurs fans didn't complained because Spurs had already 5 championships, things like that happened sometimes but we don't care because it can't stop you from reaching your goal the following year. And that's what the Spurs did this year by reaching the conference finals. We don't complain because unlike Chris Paul Spurs knows how to bounce back from an elimination. CP3 never reached the conference finals and it's on him because he doesn't want to win. Jameer Nelson, Cory Joseph, Lowry, Georges Hill, Irving, Dellavedova, Curry, Rose, Teague, Shroder, Conley, Isaiah Thomas, Beverly... The large majority of NBA starting point guard played in the conference finals and you pathetic CP3 fans want to believe that it's not his fault but it is because of his teams loaded with talents? You are so pathetic but you talk like you are above Spurs fans? lol. Go away man.
