Throwing lids and pots with galleries

In this video, we will be exploring the process of making pots with a gallery for lids. A gallery is a opening on the top of a pot that is used to hold a lid in place. This technique can add an extra layer of functionality and design to your pots. We will start by preparing the clay and centering it on the pottery wheel. From there, we will use our hands and a variety of tools to shape and smooth the pot. I will also demonstrate how to create the gallery and make a lid that will fit onto the top of the pot.
