The amend your statement, One day more of is will recognize.... Red Heaven might not have changed modern music appreciation in it's day; It however, changes my music appreciation to this day
I recall her being a tiny thing. I stood next to her at a show in new Haven decades ago, watching the opening band. She was nice to talk to and a riveting performer. I like how she focuses on a distinct point and moves her head, but her eyes stay put. Love that.
Yes, she does. It's a "1000 yard stare". She's said in more recent interviews that, while playing, she was in a dissociative state. She would "come to" between songs, smile, say a few words and then, as soon as the next song started, zone out again.
Love her! In college her band was one of my favorites. I explored and found their music at my college record / tape / cd store. You know, the one upstairs in a house down some anonymous side street. You know, the one displaying butthole surfer and the melvins posters. Where you buy soundgarden louder than love pixes doolittle pj harvey screaming trees pere ubu xtc ministry…. Yeah that one. Just flip through them and pick one. Cant miss.
As a fellow musician who is tapped into the spiritual realm I can say that Kristen was definitely in tune with the spiritual realm during her performance here.
I'm a musician as well and I'm just curious how one becomes tapped into the spiritual realm, as you put it. As far as I can tell, my music is totally from within myself.
actually, i believe she has been prescribed with a form of dissociative disorder, she kinda switch off and let a different personality take over, she describes it as if the music was dictated to her by some one else, she didnt write it she heard it in her head and then perform it, the most gifted songwriter of her generation, astonishing really
