So loved this!! Thank you. You are a joy to watch make the trail happen so positively! One question- what did you do to alleviate your IT band issue? I experienced that in my second week of a NOBO on the AZT in 2020. We got off trail then because COVID slammed the country. My IT band pain was like a knife turning in me. After a week of being off trail it healed it up but it looks like you kept going with yours day after day. I’ll be back out to finish in 2023. Thanks for your input.
Hi Janice, so glad you enjoyed the video! Bummer about your IT band! I’ve had IT band issues off and on for about 20 years. I have some stretches that I do every day, even when I’m not out backpacking, that usually keeps it from flaring up, but sometimes it still does. However, usually if I slow my mileage down and keep stretching it numerous times a day it will eventually go away. That seems to work for me. Good luck on your 2023 hike!!
